Anyone here planning on getting a Leaf?
I know it's an odd question to ask on an enthusiast forum, but are any of you guys have any interest in the Nissan Leaf? Call me crazy since my daily driver is a 290 HP Sports Sedan, but for 95% of my driving, this thing would work out pretty damn well. I don't think I could hang up my fun car keys for good, but something like this might make sense to pile the useless commuting miles on, and then keep a fun car for the weekend.
It's Earth day, so I was just thinking out loud. |
nope. to celebrate Earth Day, I'm gonna mash the gas pedal in my Z as much as possible :)
|
probably not getting a leave as the Z will be my daily driver, however, i still feel good about the fact that i'm buying from a company who is producing an electric car.

The Leaf is so ugly...Like a mutant Versa. Why can't hybrids look good?

The Leaf could be much much much worse. |
^^^I kinda dig the cube..

Electric car = :supergay:

I would have to commute more than 50 miles a day to buy that.

Looked at the Leaf during its tour. By looked I mean my wife and I tried to peer into what was essentially a guarded vehicle by blondes who could not answer any of our questions whatsoever. Got two free T-shirts and was photographed for the website shenanigans. The Leaf should do well, but style wise it is the homely kid on the block compared to the prospective others to be released. We are more interested in the Evora Hybrid and the Tesla S.

1st of all you got to install a $2000+ dollar 220volt station at your house. plus its 32k.
I paid 16k for my wife honda fit and it gets 35mpg avg. so i guess if i drove the leaf for 24 yrs I will start to save some money |
In a word? No, I would not buy a Leaf
