Corvette buyers will buy anything with that Vette checkered flag emblem thingy on it. Clothes, coffee mugs, toilet paper..... Someones gonna pay over retail for it because its "limited edition"not because it fits a need.

I won't. I buy what works. The Z06 works better than any other car under 1/4 mil for my intended purpose. If something else did better for similar $, I would buy that.

It weighs nearly 4,000 pounds, is AWD, has 4-seats, and comes in automatic only. That is a polar opposite of what I wanted in a fun car. My intended purpose was to have fun, and that means 3 pedals on the floor, a light car with decent horsepower, and only 2 seats so I wouldn't have to drag multiple people (or another 500# of car) around with me.

I know I dont agree with IC on a lot of his points, but he nailed it on the head here - the GT-R is literally about the opposite of what I want in a car: bloated, automatic, and may as well do all the driving for me.

Sure, it runs the ring in a sick time, but that doesnt mean **** to me in the end.
