Anyone cross shopping with a 335i? Kinda different I know, but the 135i is too darn ugly!

The member (onethreefive) has the 08 135i here. He can tell you all about the car. I have agree with ya, the 135i side and rear profile isn't pretty. It's lines are NOT as beautiful as the 330ci. Front looks pretty good, but again all BMW fronts looks pretty much the same. But that car is a freakin' beast though. I had a chance to beat one up one day and I did! The car is very fast and handled really well. I think the new 370Z will give it a run for it's money :driving:

I really want a 370Z, but I'm considering saying "F it" & getting the Subaru as it's SO much more practical.

+1 on the new STI....

I was never a wagon person, but I would rock one of these!!

I've driven both 135i and 335i; 135 is fantastic from a dynamic standpoint, and has a great interior, and awesome fuel economy for >300 hp... but the looks are a deal breaker for me.

I'm coming from an '06 STI, and while the 08 STI is fun to drive, higher quality and comfier than mine, it is quite overpriced and lacking features a 35-40k should have such as keyless entry/go, one-touch up and down windows, etc.

Decisions / Decisions what about one of these .:eekdance:

c'mon alefcole if you order the one now you can probably get it by Jan. Euro delivery and PCD--what a great way to start off the new year. :stirthepot:

Plus new orders will be getting the start button engraved with "YEAR ONE OF THE ONE" till the end of february 2009 (when a full year since launch has passed), so I have 3 months to think about it. Better wait and test drive this 370Z, just to be sure.

Poor mans R8??? :icon17: .. I think it'll be a very good competitor EVEN though 35000 pounds is equal to $50, 000 but they have VATS and stuff which brings the price up. Looks nice actually.

135i doesn't look that aggressive but it's a performer. STI on the other side is a serious performer as well but looks okay. Nothing I'd brag to my friends about. I like my car to have appearance and power. I guess that's why I drive a Z

alefcole 11-13-2008 04:12 PM

Appearance and power are very subjective and what looks beautiful to one looks ugly to the other one. Power is the same thing, for someone driving a honda civic as a daily driver 300HP may seem a lot, but if you own a 911 turbo then 300HP is a slow turtle. I think your final choice is down to one simple thing:

How much power can you afford, in other words HOW MUCH MONEY ARE YOU WILLING TO SPEND.......then your $32000 dollars car will look just beautiful into your eyes. :stfu:
