Although I cant find any news on what the new tires will be, the camaro runs 275s in the rear. The latest stangs have been running skinnier than that, which would give the maro a slight advantage hooking up (if they remain with the skinnier tires).
Good to see both brands at it though, no matter who would win!

I guess I am still thinking at the road course... I am SURE we will see the comparo test!!!

Honestely.....Camaro > Mustang

MightyBobo 12-20-2009 10:19 PM

BTW, curb weight on the 'maro is 3849 for the V6. The 1SS is just north of 3900, and the 2SS was 3950ish.

The argument is perfectly relevant, because it shows your complete ignorance. MANY people have successfully raced live axle cars.

Exactly.

He issues blanket statements based solidly in his unreasonable perception of truth. If it's not at the forefront of automotive technology, it's inferior... period! It can't perform! It's not worthy! End of story.

He ignores all fact and substitutes reality with the one that suits his opinions best. Even though Mustangs prove themselves time and time again on the strip and track, in his world they can't make a corner without spinning out. It's obvious that in his world, competitive road racing sanctioning bodies like Grand Am don't exist where Mustangs compete against the likes of Porsche, Corvette, Viper, etc, and win on a regular basis.

It's not like the 1960's era Mustangs dominate Porsches of the 70s and 80s in HSR competition.

It's not like the Mustang chassis was redesigned from the ground up in 2005 featuring modern components, including a modern iteration of a proven live axle design!

That's right, folks... that old adage, "if it isn't broken, don't fix it," it doesn't exist! Not in this drug store, anyways.

It's pretty obvious that we have reached the point where ignorance trumps logic. Although we fight the good fight, the right fight, we can't win. It's like the "buyout" episode of The Office: If the Michael Scott Paper Company fails, Michael Scott will open another paper company the next day, and the next day, and the next day. Why? Because business isn't about money.

Folks, in his world, reality is not about truth, it's about misguided opinion.

I read over the quick. If you are trying to say the Mustang handles well I disagree. My roomate has a 06 and I think the handling is ****. The thing feels like a damn boat to me.

Btw I would take a Trans AM > Mustang in previous years

Of course it's going to feel like a boat coming from a Z!

It also depends on whether you have driven a track-pack 2010 or not. Those are actually very nice. Not as stiff as the Z for obvious reasons but much stiffer and tighter than standard.

I added more too :p

But in all honesty. I would rather rock a Camaro than the new Stang. To each his own though. I really am NOT a fan of the styling Ford went with. I think the Camaro looks so much more aggressive. Also, dealing with people in person who are on Fords nuts 24/7 like its the greatest thing on earth will put hate in your heart also.

lol my roomate tried to brag to me saying that the new mustang gt hit the skidpad better than a 350z. I told him its nothing to brag about if its true that I hope a 2011 car could do better than a 03 :p

Took them long enough.

Trust me, I know. I hate brand-whores like nothing else.

Really, I am just out to defend the truth like most everyone else in this thread that can recognize a good car when they see it.
