Of course, all you focus on is straight line performance. You know, the kind of stuff that DOESN'T matter because I'm pretty sure the OP doesn't drag race.

And I'm not going to waste my time sitting here arguing with you.

Roll your eyes all you want. It's still the same exact drivetrain. It's reliable. It doesn't burn up, blow up or leak. And it's still the better looking car.

To you maybe it sounds like crap.

And who cares if it's a truck engine. So was the 5.4L in the Ford GT, and look how that car performs. What's your point?

Not sure if they improved longevity in the new zo6, but the passing conversations i've had with vette guys over the years makes me shy away from them. They talk about needing new piston rings and other engine component replacements between 50K and 100K miles. I hope it's not at common as they made it sound.

This is the point I was trying to make. Let me put it this way GM is the only manufacture I've worked for at a large dealer that had 3 designated heavy duty techs (meaning engine r&r and rebuild all day long), 8 designated drivability/elec techs (myself included), 1 designated trans/driveline tech. And there was enough work to keep us all busy in that field (heavy duty even backed up for 3-4 weeks at a time). You simply will not see this is in a Japanese shop as most work is all 90% service and brakes (boring).

I know ford is similar to GM setup as is Chrysler but I would not buy one of those either.
