Porsche 911 or Jaguar F-Type?

Whats the difference, spec for spec the bases seem pretty similar. The sport 911 vs the sport F are huge differences so lets leave it at bases for comparison. Which one is the better buy, and why?

F Type coupe or convertible? Personally on looks alone I would take the F Type coupe. Not to mention it is cheaper with similar HP, more torque, only at the cost of 500 lbs. Also for the price of the base 911, you can buy an F Type S which is a supercharged V6. I think either way my vote would go F Type but I am biased against the 911.

Also, however off topic it may be, before I spent $80k on a base 911 I would personally buy a Cayman GT4 for $85k

WOW!! This is a toss up for me. I love both. I have yet to drive any but I can get a test drive if they run my credit. I think it would all come down to which one I can get the better deal for. Both are beast!

A base 911 vs an F-Type? F-type, no hesitation. Now 911 Carrera S nicely equipped vs F-Type...911, all day.

MagmaRed370z 07-28-2015 06:49 AM

911 if its a GTS or S.

BlackZeda 07-28-2015 08:12 AM

The F-Type looks much better (resembles a Z), but it is a Jaguar which I associate with unreliability. It is claimed that they have improved, but I wouldn't risk it.

The 911...enough said. Porsche all day. I would go for the Cayman GT4 as well though.

neither.

if you're spending that much cash go get a GT-R. 2015's are going for low 80's right now.

how so?

Jags and 911s are beautiful cars. The GTR looks like a car designed completely by engineers. It's a technological marvel, but it's 7 kinds of ******* ugly.

complete disagreement with you.

beauty is subjective.

engineering and technology is good if it works.

performance and cost based the GT-R blows those two out of the water.

:tiphat:

If you spend that kind of money on a car, it should make you want to go out in the garage to just stare at it. The Jag has that, 911s have that. Hell, even a C7 or a Z has that. The GTR? At least you can't see the outside from the driver's seat. It's a shame, since all of the previous GTRs were gorgeous. This one is a solid "meh".

JARblue 07-28-2015 08:58 AM

Drive: GT-R
Stare: F-Type
Own: 911

Pretty much this. I'd never buy a Jag, but I'd lease one and give it back the instant it breaks.

jag is ok at best. overpriced and it's saving grace is the sound if you spend the 100k on the top version.

911.....looks ok. looks about the same forever and its a wider/longer version of the cheaper models cayman and boxster. 182k base for a turbo S which honestly turbo verison is the only way I would ever even consider one. the gt3 rs is about the only semi-good looking one as well.

you all are fuckin retarded sometimes. :shakes head:

if a GT-R wasn't an option i'd take a Z06 C7 over either of the two aforementioned vehicles in a heartbeat.
