Almost....damn, GTR is the first thing I thought of. But sexier. I love that body.

2017 Hyundai Genesis Coupe - 2016 / 2017 New Car Models

Ummmmm.... That looks like a current gen with the Nissan Altima GT-R styled body kit retrofitted on a gencoupe. IMHO, it's time to let go of the 8 year old Nissubishi front end and it's time for Hyundai to step into "original" individual automotive designs.

Yeah, before I bought my Z I was really considering it. The only thing that kept me on the Z is that I look at it everytime I pass by the garage or when I park. The Genesis is a nice looking car but the Z is just so beautiful.

Not much love for the Genesis. Considering I traded a '13 Z for one I'm obviously in the minority. The Z is way overpriced for its bracket. And I've been driving Z's for 20 years. The Hyundai, no it's not a Z. It's not quite there in performance, very close though. And I was looking for a brand new, off the showroom floor GT that wouldn't break the bank. Every car company started somewhere and I'm astonished how far Hyundai has come in so short of a time. The tech, the luxury, the Z can't even come close.

Its not that I don't like hyundai's I actually think the genesis sedan and equoes sedans are better looking than the high end Japanese and European sedans. They are coming close but not quite there as far as heritage and competing with the Z. I think the Z is a darn bargain sports car for this present time considering the 300zx twin turbo was almost 50k back in the late 90's.

It"But but it's a Hyundai". And all that anti-hyundai bullshyt is completely moronic and lacks education.

Hyundai is building cars with turbos DCT's and manual transmissions or AT's while Nissan has a CVT fetish.

Hyundai Genesis sedan 3.8 @ 38k base is as equipped as a 37k Nissan maxima... But the genesis sedan has a 8at with paddles and real manual mode while the maxima has a rubber band with a computer faking shifts.
The Genesis is a RWD and the maxima is FWD. WHICH IS THE REAL 4DSC?

I can do this model for model, Nissan vs Hyundai/Kia.

The Gencoupe is a great value for what it is. I prefer the 2 seat configuration and aggressive Z tuning. But the gencoupe is 88% of the Z with A TON more features for $2,500 less at base.

Brand for brand Nissan is gradual losing ground to hyundai overall. All because Nissan can't stop nuthugging CVT transmissions. The Z, GT-R n Juke is all we have hanging us by a thread.

With just the utmost due respect I feel as anyone is afforded an opinion, just because a majority of the posts dont like Hyundai doesnt make us moronic nor lacking education.

Actually, it is moronic to feel a sense of brand superiority when you're driving around in an equally sub premium vehicle. And it lacks education when people don't look at each model and see where it holds up in the segment. Hyundai Kia is giving enthusiasts the option of driving vehicles with manuals. More than what Nissan is doing.

Nissan removed paddle shifter on base Z's after 6 years of paddle shifting base Z's. Just as moronic as the comments about hyundai.

But I guess that's my opinion. :tiphat:

Oh for anyone trying to flame me.... I looooove my Z so don't even go there. I just call it for what it is...

Love it or Hate it.

I think the Z needs some improvements still for the money, but isn't horrible in terms of value.

-bring back the paddles in the base
-The older Bose radio in the 09-12 Z's should be the base radio
- it can use a better stock anti-roll set up.

If Nissan would fix these 3 things and keep the prices the same? The Z would be perfect at its price point.

To raise prices, I'd like them to reduce weight by at least 60lbs and increase power by 20hp.
