im guessing 300K range or more. only like 500 built and something like 200 coming to the US if that |
cockpit is nice....but im not feeling the rest. ill stick to my nissans
|
sounds very exotic. I'm guessing the 150K mark.
|
I think it came together nicely, but it better be perfect if they want to sell it for 400k (or more).
|
By the way how did the GTR members manage to take pictures of it in the shop? Seems like they followed him in. lol
|

yeah he did. he found out there are 3 testing down at homested this week! some of the sick underbody http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o...om2899/lf9.jpg |
Love this car
|
Is testing really necessary on that car in the states? Shouldn't it be a lot more cost effective to get all the testings knocked in Japan then just bring over the production models? Maybe Lexus is using that specific model for U.S shows? :D
|

Wow! I really like that. Especially the gauge cluster, that thing is awesome!!
|
That, my friends, is sex on wheels.
|
wow unbelievable!
|
Interior shots look great, hopefully that is how the actually car looks when produced, which I assume it will.
I did see the one issue I had with the exterior, and it is the hood against the front bumper, it looks like it goes not close 100%. Is it just a black piece there are does it not close all the way for air to pass through? |
^That gap is too big to be a defect...meaning it's probably functional
|
the modern day Supra right there

that's why i said modern...lol

That thing is so bad a$$! It'll blow the doors off a lot of cars. It's supposed to be a Ferrari/Lambo fighter from its $200k+ price. The interior is so sexy.
OK...the GTR is no longer the king of the hill when it comes to Japanese sports cars. You guys think this car's filling the Supra's shoes, na-ahh. Supra's shoes are filled with that FT-86 thing. Supra is also an affordable sports car too, not an exotically priced one. |
Well I'm still wondering why people refer to the LF-A as a "modern" or "next" Supra other than the fact that they're both produced by Toyota/Lexus. In addition, they don't necessarily share a similar price tag nor similar performance, hell they're not even in the same category. :/

well the MSRP on this thing just got announced.... 375K in the US 534K in the UK as for the GTR comment... at least we still got it 0-60 and i bet its even in the 1/4...after with the weight difference and hp advantage it wouldnt be too pretty i dont imagine. :wtf2: lexus ran a 7:30 ring time in this thing but had some traffic in certain areas... the driver said its capable of 7:23 |
^Hennessey's got a 700hp GTR--crazy fast, like 10's in the 1/4. Modern day 3000GT VR-4! Just kidding :)
|
madre mia! i dig everything except i feel the headlight design is slacking!
|
Just wet my pants :yum:

LFA vs GT-R

If I were that wealthy, I'd buy a Ferrari instead...actually lease it. Because "oohh factor" cars go out of vogue in a few years. That's why you see 2005 Ferrari's with like 2,500 miles at like 70% their original price--poor "return" from the intangible "oohh factor." |
Price or not, it's visually and im sure technologically going to set the stage for the next decade of supercars. That interior/gauge cluster is amazing IMO. Hats off to Toyota for actually going through with production.
|
Can someone PLEASE close the hood before taking all these pictures? I still haven't found a single picture with the hood closed. :icon17:
Seriously , I can't even look at the car with that huge gap in the front. I don't know if anyone want to spend 375K on a LEXUS ... :ugh: |
Car just doesn't scream 375k imo... more like $100-150k ish.

AK speaks the truth, it's a Lexus. Sorry just like I wouldn't spend over 20k for a Hyundai(and that's pushing it), and I wouldn't buy a GTR. I sure as hell am not buying a Lex for that price. I honestly don't even find this car that worthy in the looks department?!? I could be alone on this, but oh well. |

I see LF-A design cues in this concept "Celica"

Definitely lacking in the looks department. And toyota must have been on crack thinking that anyone would pay 375000 dollars for a lexus. At least, the GT-R is a very good bargain. Heck, you can buy 4 GT-Rs for the price of one LF-A. For that price range, no one would choose a lexus over a murcielago, 430 scuderia, or even the new 458 italia.
Isn't that why the VW Phaeton turned out to be a major flop? Looks like toyota wasn't paying attention. By the way, I'm pretty sure you cannot lease a ferrari, or even finance one. I think they only accept cash, cheque, or credit card |
