Makes the Z06 look and sound so slow out of the corners, doesn't it? :icon17:

Got to see one back when the Gold Rush Rally was over. He drove it straight from Chicago to Scottsdale, was pretty sweet. Though, it was that ugly burnt orange colour.

the P1 is just sick in every aspect. I love it

Every time they come into a straight, the P1 just runs off like the Z06 is on cruise control lol

And that's the slower P1...

The "base" P1 is one of the fastest hypercars on the planet. The P1 GTR will be faster. A lot faster. The 3.8-liter turbocharged V-8 gets a 62 hp bump while the electric motor zaps an additional 21 hp. Further more, 110 lbs. of weight is shed by using "motorsports derived parts" like polycarbonate side windows, as well as ditching superfluous items needed for road homologation. The front track is 80mm wider, the ride height is 50mm lower and the adjustable rear wing has been replaced by a fixed one, albeit still capable of the DRS feature. This wing is set 100mm higher than the road-going P1's most aggressive setting, helping ensure total downforce levels increase by 10 percent, or 1,455 lbs. at 150 mph. Let that number sink in for a second.

Did anyone feel the Z06 driver was a better driver?

Yes. Sometimes it was just traffic, but I felt like the P1 lines were pretty far from ideal on a lot of those curves.

I would expect a GM guy that buys a Z06 to be more competent over the common dude who can afford a P1

I agree.

is that video from the Z06's on board recording software or is that third party set up added to a video?

can't remember what the standard Z06 data recording stuff looked like.

Yeah, and it seemed like he braked really early even though that thing FOR SURE has more stopping power than the Z06

Pretty sure that's the onboard/GM data recording.
