Guy in our cars and coffee just bought a mclaren 650s last year. I guess he liked it because he went out and bought a P1 too lol

That car is just nutz :driving:
|
Makes the Z06 look and sound so slow out of the corners, doesn't it? :icon17:
Got to see one back when the Gold Rush Rally was over. He drove it straight from Chicago to Scottsdale, was pretty sweet. Though, it was that ugly burnt orange colour. |

Every time they come into a straight, the P1 just runs off like the Z06 is on cruise control lol

And that's the slower P1...

Did anyone feel the Z06 driver was a better driver?

then again money doesn't mean you're a better driver lol just because he can afford 1.2 mil doesn't mean he knows how to handle it :bowrofl: |

is that video from the Z06's on board recording software or is that third party set up added to a video? can't remember what the standard Z06 data recording stuff looked like. |

The only time I've ever driven the Z on a track (was at COTA), I felt like no one was braking hard at all - like I should be able to get twice as close to turn-in before braking in almost every curve but especially Turns 1, 11 and 12. Of course, it was the Nismo Performance Academy. So lots of non-track drivers. |

I'd probably be a late-braker too. But you flirt with disaster when you do that, lol. If you nail it, you're golden though. |
That Z06 driver is definitely better but that car isn't putting out full power. On the back straight he was only 147mph while my friend with a previous gen ZR-1 got 160mph. In my Z I get up to 135mph.
