I had my 370Z done by Lawrence at Indec Racing and was very impressed. He put in five different maps controlled by the cruise control buttons. They have to dyno in fourth gear because their dyno can't handle the speed in fifth.

Maybe you guys can elaborate why intec's service was so good. And the difference the tune made to your z.

Wow, that wasn't my experience. It is kind of weird to hear about something fairly opposite? I didn't go South because someone on here complained about how their performance was screwed (but they had an AT). I guess good and bad at both places then….. Anyway I really do like my tune  |
I actually ran into the guy at the Chevron after he got tuned, can't remember his name but he said he showed up at Intec and they stayed late to get his tune done and not just rush through it, even though he didn't have an appointment. He had to get a hotel in town and drive back the next morning but seemed stoked to be able to get tuned :p
I've never been to Kito so I can't speak either way for their tuning, but from what friends tell me and their website they seem to specialize in Subarus... A little different to tune than Nissans. When I had questions about tuning my G35 back in the day Lawrence was more than helpful, even brought out his laptop and showed me the fuel maps and whatnot and explained how the tune makes a difference. Nissan really upgraded the motors for the 370's, so you won't see massive top end gains like the old VQ35DE motors, but you'll gain a lot of responsiveness and smoothness throughout the powerband. No more hickups or jerkyness, just strong pulling all the way to redline. And better gas mileage as a benefit :D |
Just got my tune done by Lawrence at Intec. He knows what he's talking about and was really helpful. Don't go expecting huge gains, especially when stock. Very small peak gains (4-5 hp) but a better feel across the band. Definitely noticed a difference passing on the highway. I'll put up the graphs once they send them and post any differences I see in gas mileage. It will be cheap and easy to tune after any future mods since most of the investment is for the license and establishing the baseline.

Was that you on your way to get the tune this morning?
|
holy crap too many blues!

I know man. Someone rolled past me this morning in a MB, by the time I realized it was a "hello" honk, he had already gone by. I think it was Jordan though
|
Yup, that was me on the way to the tune. :)

Right on man, car looked sharp. Mine is so dirty, I haven't had time to wash it. Nikon where did you see the MB? I saw one that looks like yours in your avatar maybe two weeks ago
|
Sorry if this is a total noob/retard question, are there any eastside meets coming up soon? The NW thread has been kind of dead lately, and I only just started posting recently. It would be cool to get something together
|
Yeah about two weeks ago sounds right. I think I saw the (or yours) MB near Issaquah. Mine is the only black running the CF Seibon hood at least in WA State that I'm aware of.
We have been fairly inactive due to weather, but we do get together quite a bit when the sun is out. Hopefully soon  |
Another MB Z! Atleast mine now looks different. lol
I need to get that Uprev tune soon... |
