Anybody in the Pacific NW get their car yet?
If so report in!
|
Possibly
Working for a deal below MSRP. Not finalized yet but I'll post details once papers are signed. If all goes well I'll pick the vehicle up on 1/28.

So are we the only PNW people? |
I really like the looks of the Sky/Solstice. I wanted to check out the coupe version, but with GM's woes I decided not to wait. I will also check out the new Camaro if it ever makes it to production.
FYI the KBB on my car was around $22k. I started it there in my E-bay, Auto Trader and CL ads. I kept dropping into the $18s with nothing. So I ended up taking $17k for mine and MSRP for the Z. The used car market is as bad or worse as the new car market. BanningZ is up in Salem and plans to buy a Z soon, but not yet as far as I know. |
Nice pick on the car color and options

I still need to see the paper work to verify that the numbers have stayed the same since Saturday prior to signing for the Z. If all goes as stated I'll be getting a Black/Black interior Touring, Sport with Nav. It is difficult for me to trust dealerships in general so I'm a little anxious to see if everything ends up as they originally stated........... |

Well I hope it works out for you, if you got the 6MT we have the exact same car! That's pretty damn cool. Let me know how it goes! |
LA delivery center
The dealership is trying to motivate the delivery center to get the car up here as soon as possible. This could go into the end of Feb.........I hope not.
|
^^Any updates..?
What about you BanningZ?? |
Count down
Arrival is scheduled for 2/6, but maybe sooner. I am pretty happy about how the dealership is working this situation and for below MSRP.......nice!
Looking forward to getting some drives together Spring/Summer. I know some great roads that are almost an ab workout from all the miles of turns. |

Rock Chips
Quote:
Where were the rock chips located? Is it okay XPEL just the bumper and rear fender portion you mentioned? I plan on waxing the car about every 3 days () and I'm thinking dealing with the line across the hood would get troublesome? Nice pics showing the window tint, and good looking dog too. Thanks |

There are literally 50 little tiny chips on each side of the car. The clear bra can be a problem with wax, dirt, fuzz etc. The installer said to take a Q-tip with some alcohol once a month and run it along the edge. I would be very careful doing that though as it's easy to damage the paint. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j..._tin/chips.jpg |
Picture is good

Very helpful, thanks!
Do you think this is the process: 1. Rocks from driveway/road get stuck in front tires. 2. Get up to speed the rocks fling out and nail the rocker panel (red arrow area)? Are there any chips on the front bumper? I live in an area where during the winter months the roads get sanded a bit too frequently. Some of the sand is not so small in diameter and ends up nailing car panels and front windows. This post is very helpful in that hopefully I can exercise some preventative measures to minimize the dings. Thanks again. |

Count down
This coming Friday (2/6) is the day............................
|
Would you suggest having the entire hood covered with XPEL or just a portion of the hood?
|
I thought about dealing with the line across the hood or doing the whole hood and dealing with different optics between the hood and doors after waxing and decided to just do the bumper and rocker arms. ???
Guess I'll see. |

They have exactly what I want right now at Johannson Salem Nissan but I'm hoping it goes a little below msrp before I make my purchase. Its currently 41K+. Ouch. I'm looking for for 38K but we'll see. :) |

"Summer" drives
We could do some runs in the gorge too? That would be South for me but I don't mind driving (+4k miles now). Driving around Rainier is big fun (really big fun ) too, but that would be a 2+ day event for anyone driving some distance just to get there. Might pull some Canadians down for the drive too.

370Z Zele Mods/Outfit
I'm sure you have all seen the 370z Zele Mods/Outfits.. Yes?? What do you think. It's about 10k extra to get the same parts! I'm look'in to get my Z in the next few months and I think that mod is awsome.
Here is a link.. Zele unveils custom Nissan 370Z at 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon - [2009 Nissan 370Z] - MotorAuthority - Car news, reviews, spy shots :ughdance: |
I'm not a fan of the aftermarket kits. I think the Z looks perfect as-is. Even the wheels. I don't think anything else can compete. The ONLY think I'm thinking about is an exhaust.
|
Yaaah..
I see your point. I think it's nice as well but I do think it could use a few things. I mean some carbon fiber here an there would not only spice it up but lighten that heavy load. The exhaust is always a fun one to mess with. This Zele quad exhaust system is the ish~ though. In the end I guess it's a matter of opinion. I guess over all I would say that this Zele mod is the best mod "I" have ever seen. An I feel that what better car to give an even better look than the AWSOMTACKTASTULAR 370Z...
