Speaking of...didn't you play the Quarry in OH? How'd you like it? Looks challenging.

it was challenging but i was playin bad in general that day so it's hard to gauge. like the guys (pros) i was with sunday at NCCC said its a really tough course but to be honest it wasnt bad. if you play it a few times and know it you can go low. it was my one friends 2nd time playing there and it shot even par. typically he shoots mid 60s/low 70s.

plus i kinda just got hammered at the quarry. i was with a family friend and a old HS teacher so we had a great time lol

there were 30 of us and the pairings were random each day.

I'm in the eastern panhandle of west Virginia but I would definitely make the trip to meet guys at least once. Are you guys having meets in October?? My car is in Los Angeles for another 3 weeks. Fpenvy let me know! I'd love to come out!

typically after one of the october events we do a carting day which is awesome. only $60 for practice run, 2 qualifying rounds, and a 30 min 2 man team enduro race.

nomodsjk 09-08-2014 08:21 AM

Oh wow! Where do you guys do that?

Hey FP, do you know if only official CnC members can participate in the karting day? I'd like to try and make it out as well but I'm not a member.

yea once i got inspected at the end of july i put them right back on. i love to sound and the hatred of everyone withing a 3 mile radius lol

mrthomr 11-10-2014 07:55 PM

So this happened on Friday.

Driving through Motown and a lady decided to right on red and pull too far into my lane. She gave me a little tap. End result was a big hole in her bumper and $2400 worth of paint work and wheel replacement to my car. I'm paying out of pocket to get my front bumper repainted. I stopped by today and negotiated it down another $140 seeing that they will be doing the work at the same time as the Insurance repair. :happydance:
Hope everyone is doing well.

Oh man that sucks! Sorry to hear that! Our Rays rims aren't cheap either! Last I looked I think around $900 a rim from the dealer. Hope you get it fixed up quick!

Oh yea, those wheels are pricey. First estimate was for a 19" w/40th anniversary pkg rear for $707. I'll have them lookup the correct wheel b/c the second estimate was for a correct labeled 19" w/sport pkg rear for $984. Ouch!

Car goes in for work on the 15th. They are painting the hood as well for me for an extra 300. I thought it was a good deal.

New to this site and Pittsburgh. I am looking for a good tech and tuner shop to take care of my z...any recommendations? South hills location is a plus...thanks

ZeeZee 12-09-2014 08:35 PM

Welcome to the group and Pittsburgh! I'm in the Cranberry area so not much help here but I'm sure someone on here will hook you up.

Welcome here. :D I'm down in Brownsville. What are you looking for in a shop?

whiteZ34 12-10-2014 02:22 AM

:hello:Welcome!! I'm in Irwin/McKeesport areas if your looking for some Z's to hang with.

zac370 12-10-2014 12:46 PM

Thanks. I recently installed stillen sc. The shop that installed it went out of business...so I need a reliable place to do routine maintenance such as blower oil change, checking the intercooler, etc. Would also like to custom tune it some point, but mainly I am looking for good maintenance mechanic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I live in cannonsburg.

zac370 12-10-2014 04:01 PM

Rusty
Do you have a shop in Brownsville? Love your z..and what you have done to it.

No shop in my area that does imports. But there is one shop that does Mustangs mostly. And they have a Mustang dyno. Depends on what you want done, think Timmy would do it. I do all of my own work. Was a ASE Master Tech at one time. For tuning. I go to RT Tuning on the other side of the state.

whiteZ34 12-10-2014 04:26 PM

There's TPG tuning in blairsville, may be a lil drive for you but they would do it. They specialize in evos and subies but can do more than that. I also go to R/T tuning which is over in philly area. Best place for a Z tho in my opinion.

zac370 12-10-2014 04:37 PM

You guys heard of PRL performance shop in east of Pittsburgh?

whiteZ34 12-10-2014 05:23 PM

I have once but truly don't know anything about them. The guy I bought my turbo kit from had exhaust parts welded there I believe and he said the welder there was really good. That's all I know haha.

whiteZ34 12-10-2014 06:14 PM

Zac, what color is your car if you don't mind me asking?

zac370 12-12-2014 08:41 AM

Thanks. I might check them out in the spring.. Will let u guys know.

Color is gun metal.. I'm the dude too scared to drive above speed limit in my z..

whiteZ34 12-12-2014 09:02 AM

Haha. Once you do you might not want to slow down! Got to get the super charger kit screening

Honesty 01-15-2015 02:10 PM

Sold the Z. It was a fun time while it lasted, but I felt the need to move to something new. If anybody here is interested in my wheels, shoot me a PM.

Here's the craigslist ad: TSW Nurburgrings four wheels and tires
