Every state is different. Does your state sniff exhaust gasses? Or do they just look for check engine light?

In NYC, you can pass as long as you have no check engine light. No one does the exhaust test anymore here.

I have no idea honestly. I know that they check under sometimes

You would really have to piss off a cop for them to start checking if you have cats or not...

oh and i say get PPE Long Tube Headers or FI long tube headers.. both of those are engineered as well.. And i picked up 21 HP over test pipes with my LTH and re-tune.... No art pipe is making 21 HP over test pipes !! lol

But really art pipes are the "best" test pipe if you want cleaner sound.... I still wouldn't get them though, haha...

I blew a stop sign when I was 20 in a school zone in my turbo integra which was LOUD as hell and the cop wrote me about 12 tickets... one being something about removing emission parts.. It wasn't an absurd amount of money like I heard rumors of. But unless you do something dumb like that I don't think you have to worry about it.
