The folding slider I providede the link to actually allows a certain amount of angle control by how deep you place the holding bracket. If the bracket is mounted too far in the rear direction of the front fascia cowling then the plate slider will not have enough clearance to flip up and in front of the facia cowling lip. My guess is that the JDM version you speak of is probably the same way and is mounted too far back behind the front fascia cowling lip if the plate is NOT able to clear the front facia lip.

state: NJ

here are some pics of my old b13 which had the same license plate tilt.
(sorry, i dont have any close up pics. just incase yall wondering, yes thats the same car just with different "clothes" on)

^^ would it be OK to have them in NJ?

I know it is required to have the front ones up here in OH, but about 10% of the cars here do not have it on. Mostly sports cars. If they want to write me a ticket for not having a front plate, then I will move out of the state of Ohio. I already want to get out of here so badly.

I mean, I see people driving around with their front license plates inside their cars on the dashboard. I don't see them getting pulled over so daine that license plate holder should be fine. I want to get the license plate that's not directly in the middle but on the side a bit. That's fresh!

I have family in TX, and putting the plate in the window doesn't cut it.

Well, I'm sure they are strict about it here too but I've never seen any of the ppl doing it getting pulled over yet. :ughdance:

My friend has an NSX and he would get pulled over all the time for having the plate in the window - but then again his car is red ;P He finally fashioned a bracket for his front plate.

Mines still off and on my dash. I had a cop car sitting two spots over from my car Sat night at Applebee's and the cop didn't do anything about it. Still haven't gotten stopped for it yet although like I said earlier it did give a cop an excuse to not give me a whopper of a speeding ticket.

I'm sure I'll get pulled at some point - it's the same with tinted windows. I cruised clean for like 2 years before that started getting me in trouble.
