11th Annual New Jersey Z Car Club Show (August 30th; Rain date Sept 12th)
 

The New Jersey Z Car Club is holding its 11th Annual Z Car Show on Sunday, August 30th. (In case of rain, the show will be moved to September 12th). The show will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bridgewater, NJ. This is the same location as the past 3 years. See the attached flyer for additional details.

Once again Somerset Nissan is sponsoring us for this year’s event. In appreciation for Somerset Nissan's continued support, we are offering free registration to car owners who purchased there vehicles through Somerset Nissan. The car owners just need to bring some kind of proof that they purchased there car there.

We are expecting a large turn-out of cars for the show! As in the past, we should have cars coming in from several states including CT, PA, MD and NY. For those of you who own Datsun Roadsters or GTRs, we are also welcoming/allowing these vehicles to register for the show. We will put them into the Ultra Mod Class. This will be a Peoples Choice show, so we are stretching the rules a little!! We will also be offering both Stock and Street Modified classes for this year’s event.

We will be giving out free Z T-Shirts to the 1st 75 people to register on the day of the show. We hope to run our car merchandise raffle again, 50/50, and possible bocce contest.

Sounds good! Right down the road from me. I actually have my 370 on order from Somerset Nissan! Should be taking delivery in less than 2 weeks!!!!! CANT WAIT. Monterey blue, persimmon interior, sport and nav packages. Oh, and of course 6sp.

do you guys think they will welcome the G37 guys??? if so id like to come down to a nice show!!

You are welcome to come as a spectator, but to enter the show you must be a "Z".

Last year they gave an "honorary pass" to a GT-R that one of the members had just purchased, and he won best in show!!! :gtfo2:

this is gonna be my first time attending and i was just curious what kind of environment will it be like?

is it like HIN status? or like a New York Auto Show type?

Hmm might come if I do I will be wearing a car audio t-shirt. We should all meet up.

This is a standard car show... Alot like the Showtime Show at OCC (minus the DJ).

You show up with your clean Z to be seen by other enthusiasts, and to see their cars. Everyone who registers for the show gets to vote on who receives awards for best in class and show.

The hotel provides refreshments and food for a moderate fee.

Just wanted to add one point for the Z34 guys...

The reason the Z34s and Z33s are being lumped together for awards purposes, is that the organizers weren't sure of the Z34 turnout (seeing as it is the 1st year of production). No point in having a stock and modified class for Z34s if only one or two show up!!

However, if you guys show up with 5 or 6 entries (at least), they will definitely break you out into your own class next year!! Another reason to come out and represent your model!!

im prob going. just got my 370 two weeks ago and will show up with my friend that has a blue 350z that we've modded up. it would be three of us but my other buddy just hydro-locked his engine so hes beat.

Gah! Here's hoping TS Danny stays out to sea or this weekend could be busted

This just in...

We have been following the latest Weather Forecast for this weekend. Unfortunately, based on Tropical Storm Danny coming up the coast Friday into Saturday, we have postponed Saturday’s Show until Sunday. (Sunday was our Planned Rain date). We will continue to watch the weather forecast for Sunday (August 30th) to see if we can get the show in. If the weather forecast deteriorates for Sunday, we will postpone the show until September 12th.

I will be sending a follow-up message out tomorrow afternoon confirming Sunday’s planned show. I am sending this message out today because we had several people who were planning on coming to the Hotel early on Friday, and I wanted to give them time to change there plans.

Sunday is good for me.

I might be there with my 4 day old Z.... I'm an amateur photographer too, so i would like to get pics of all the beauty that will be there.

I wasnt ready for Saturday, sorry for the troubles...i'll be their Sunday. ;)

Based on the latest communication with the organizers, this show is a GO for Sunday.

If I hear otherwise, I will post here Saturday night.

Anyone in MASS going or there? I was thinking of leaving later today and staying at the Inn.

The trophies are engraved, the shirts are printed, and the raffle items are ready for the 11th Annual New Jersey Z Car Show!!!!

The weather continues to look good for tomorrow, Sunday August 30th.

Registration Opens at 9:00 AM, cars must be registered by 11:00AM. (See attached Flyer on the 1st post for Details).

I have been receiving calls from as far away as Maryland and Massachusetts; it looks like we are going to have another good show this year!!

Thanks to all you Z34 guys for coming out... There definitely won't be a problem adding a 370Z category for next year's show!!!

Great meet guys - I had alot of fun. If anything, the only thing I can critique would be to have someone help decide whether the car is considered stock or street mod. I saw alot of people confused on that part. They should just identify what makes what class what.

Other than that, it was a pleasure to meet the other 370z guys. Its been a long time coming and I'm glad we had a venue like this to meet/talk with each other.
