Any Rutgers Students?

My son is going to Rutgers in September and needs to choose a dorm. He doesn't expect to bring his Z, so thats not a criteria.
He is Pre-Med and I think he should be with other science majors. Does it matter? Input would be great.

ya matters alot you deff want to be in with other sci. majors. My roommate first year was an art major it pissed me off he had like 5 classes no labs and never had to do work. While I was busting my hump in Engineering. Helps to have people around that can help you out, and know the work load you have.

Which Rutgers campus is he going to, Rick? Newark, Camden, or New Brunswick? I assume it's Taylor you're sending away?

New Brunswick is my backyard. And in fact that's the campus I got my BSME from. There's 3 campuses he can choose:

College ave - that's where all the parties are at because of the off-campus housing and frat houses
Busch - that's where the science buildings are, large % of guys there so he might like it; As a freshmen he'd have to choose one of the BAMM dorms or davidson... DO NOT choose Davidson dorms! BAMM (Bar, Allen, Mitea, and Metzger buildings) aren't too bad.
Livingston - dorms are OK, the "Quad" dorms are bit crumby and old

There's bus systems that take you from campus to campus. They somewhat sucked when I was there, but maybe they got better by now. Give me a call if you got any more questions about Rutgers NB.

Im @ college ave, I forgot which building it is but I heard it has a gym inside and everything! [: But I need to pay a shitload for parking... :<

From my freshmen year to my senior year, parking price doubled and places i could park were cut down by almost half. Tuition was somewhat of a bargain since it was a state university.

I don't think he needs the distraction of his car during Freshman year. It will be in the garage waiting for him when he comes home. Maybe the old man will drive it a bit or maybe it will get some mods.

As a freshmen, he has a slim chance of being eligible to bring his car on campus anyway.
