Official Nissan Z Caravan - New Jersey happening in April
 

Hello,

I don't post on this forum that much, but I am very active on my350z.com

I wanted let my fellow 370z brothers that a Nissan Z caravan will be happening in New Jersey at the end of April.

There will be two starting points. One in North Jersey and another in South Jersey. The caravans will start out and meet along the way and have a final destination somewhere at the Jersey Shore.

We are hoping for 40+ Z's to join the caravan.

Official plans will be coming out Thursday March 11, 2010 stay tuned.

The Caravan has been Scheduled for Sunday April 25.

ouch yeah seaside??? Maybe I'm getting too old LOL. Long Branch/Pier village would be more low key and less trash/punks.

Def not getting too old, I'm 22 and agree...too much trash at seaside...But if anyone is looking to go out, get drunk, and into a brawl, seaside is the place to be

OK then how about Bergen County lol

Belmar/Point Pleasant would be a good alternative to Seaside...better parking, better crowd (less punks/trash), IMHO

Or LBI around Beach Haven.

Slezide is pretty crappy, but I bet you wouldn't have a hard time getting laid showing up in a Z. That is if you're into loose women

Well if peeps feel the need to have forms of entertainment available, AKA a real boardwalk, then Pt. Pleasant/Sleezeside I can understand. Belmar and Pt. have their share of punks/traffic and parking issues too.

If we just need a place to gather and maybe grab a bite/grog and not have as much of a parking/punk situation I would recommend Long Branch, Pier Village. Way more upscale and plenty of places to eat and definitely less punks...Maybe more Jersey shore housewives but I'll trade that anytime. Of course anywhere further south of Sleezeside is better too. Sleezeside, Belmar, Pt. are all kinda touristy and you get you're share of wound up NORF JERZEE/Staten Islanders who seem to go WONKO once they are near the ocean :)

And save the flames fellas, my GF is a Bergen Co. resident and I have family on the island :)

These are just opinions/suggestions, not my trip to run so whatever you guys decide, I'll try to make it.

The Caravan will be going to Beach Haven, LBI to a place called the Gazebo by Bay Village. It is 3 blocks from Ocean, plenty of parking for all of cars and owners will be making a speciality menu for us.

The South Jersey Caravan will be meeting before 12pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Parking Lot in Cherry Hill, NJ (rt. 70 east). At 12:15 we will be departing to Beach Haven, LBI.

The North Jersey Caravan and South Jersey Caravan will be meeting at the back end of the Home Depot parking lot on Rt.72 after the turn off on the Garden State Parkway Exit 63. From that destination the Caravan will be heading to LBI!:excited:

Nah, only during summer (memorial - labor day). I'm from SI and that's exactly when my lease is for my summer house in Belmar!! Haha can't wait to go WONKO.

But yea, I went to Jenks the other weekend and it was a very local crowd. No guido juiceheads like during summatime.

You're right I overlooked the date. Jenks and Bar A are totally different places during the off-season. After work we frequently do happy hours at Bar-A. Headliner too. You know you've overstayed your welcome at Headliner when you're standing around in your work clothes and half naked girls and juiceheads start walking in! I've definitely done that a few times.

The North/Central Jersey Caravan
The N/CNJ Caravan will meet at the Cheesequake Rest Stop on the GSParkway at 12:15 PM, and depart at 12:30 PM. This should get everyone to the HD in Manahawin at approxiamtely 1:15 - 1:30 PM.

For those who may not know the Cheesequake Rest Stop is near the 123 mile marker on the GS Parkway.

I would like to Get a Headcount of people that will be attending. I will update this list as people say yes. The 350z forum has 30 cars going out so far, this is not including the Infiniti or Nissan 370z's.
