call me old school but i like the current 370z cluster. sure it could be a little different, have lcd or whatever but what i like about it is nice big tacho in the middle.

everything else is just noise to me.

sometimes i want a nav unit, most of the time i look at it as an opportunity to bond with my car more.

i actually like the lexus f-package cluster they put in the IS series. it's pretty sweet.

Yeah I got used my Z gauges. Extremely well placed. I've learned to hate side by side gauges. Porsche n Ferrari are definitely gauge kings!!!

Over on Jalopnik they had a brief Q&A with Nissan's design chief Shiro Nakamura.

Patrick George asked Mr. Nakamura in person about the next Z and his response is as follows:

“That is a very interesting project. We have so much racing in our heritage, we have to figure out what form it will take.”

So to decipher that into plan old English; Nissan has no idea about what they plan on doing and when they plan on doing it, when it comes down to a new Z. I am perfectly fine with that.

dang that digital screen looks amazing!

The Z tri-gauge cluster is classic. One thing I'd like to change is the controls on steering wheel. I don't think that they should be there and one of my next mods is have that **** removed and the space concealed with dry carbon fiber bits.

Lexus LFA gauges please.

As I stated earlier, Mercedes blue prints ;)

Nissan will not tarnish their reputation of solid built motors taking over Merc benz engines and being unreliable.

You say this until the next Z comes out with a 350-400hp V6 Twin turbo ;)

Every time something new is out or coming out a lot hate it, reminds me of the 2006 350Z headlights all were hating on then 2 months later it was the must have mod. THe 370z coming out all the 350Z guys saying its ugly, looks like a catfish you name it, then trading or selling their 350 to get a 370z haha

I'm not sure how you can hate what hasn't been created... And for that matter hasn't even really been given a solid spec on engine, exterior or price....

i remember my late grandma mentioning my late uncle's brand new at the time 300ZX looked like a fugly catfish. :rofl2:

The 2016 Infiniti Q50 and upcoming Q60 have a 400HP 3.0 V6 turbo in the line up now...

Excited to see what the new Z is going to look like. At least we know its going to have the same 3.0 Turbo V6...

Until I see an actual new platform rolled out that could conceivably be the new Z, my money is still on sleeker/lighter/mildly sportier version of new Q60.

On that note, any updates on when anything will be leaked or rolled out? January Tokyo Auto Show maybe?

By the way, the base 4C is going to be MSRP'd around 50K... some haggling to get the price down makes that sound like something for me to consider again... :yum:

don't forget the few whispers of a possible V8 in the mix now as well. still think that's just some bs rumor but the V6 TT is in for sure from what i understand so far.

Look man.... Nissan just needs to make a...
$28k 2.0T 250HP 2,7 00lb
&
$37k 3.0TT 370HP 2.900lb version of this.

420HP Miami $46k

https://youtu.be/R1gWfUApp6A

Focus on a hyper tuned exhaust. Copy the exact styling proportions but keep it at 172inches long and excessive cues of the original 240z to differentiate it greatly from the benz

Let's see a dct too

Boom. End of story.

Firebase99 11-23-2015 06:52 PM

2900 pounds with a TT V6 for $37k? Maybe $57k.
