Does no one care to discuss how the car at my dealer is WRECKED?

And how Nissan has zero timeline how long it will take to fix it?

Or how a brand new limited edition car who people are willing to pay big bucks for will be fixed by a local USA dealership?

I've talked with all my car friends. Their opinion is all the same. This car is junk. Markup GONE, at best.

This is why I never buy a launch edition of anything. Sure there are outliers, but for me, this goes to show you that even using existing parts from a bin on a "new" car can still develop QC issues. I guess that's the cost you risk stomaching when you jump on a new car at launch?
As far as pricing, I am with you, the cars markup is gone. In the end, it's still a proto spec, so the likelihood of them getting MSRP is high.

I don't even like the car, wrecked or not. The new Z is just @$$ UGLY IMO. I'm sure there are plenty of people that love it, but I'm not one of them.

Also, has this particular Z been sold or still for sale?

If sold, shame on the buyer.

If still for sale, why? It's an incomplete product and who would want to pay MSRP (or more) for an unfinished/damaged product? I just find it hard to believe that Nissan wouldn't want to fix ASAP so they can get this off their books, as with any inventory.

And what's wrong with getting repairs at a local USA dealership? Do you plan on shipping your car to Japan for each repair?

BTW, not sure if this has been brought up, but apparently, the new Z is not the Z35 and shares the same chassis code with the 370Z :icon18:

Correct it’s still a z34. If this was German car speak, it’d be labeled/we’d call it a z34.5 which is exactly what it is, a major decade overdue mid cycle refresh.

I’m not a big bmw Supra fan, but I will say I like the Supra more so far, and I’m a big Nissan z car guy. Sad, but I’m glad they at least built it. 2 door sports cars that are sub 100k are going the way of the dodo bird.

Nissan is so retarded, if they’d spent the cash to release this in say 2016or so, with $$ being essentially free back then with extremely low interest rates and soaring economy, they would’ve sold out all of them. Instead, they dicked around for a decade and timed the economy perfectly just like in 2009. I think we can thank good ol Carlos Gohen for that one, le cost cutter was to busy lining his pockets.

Hang on rusty, you thinking about selling your nismo and getting one of these?

No...just wonder if the new Z has the same wheel wells as the Z34. Where you can stuff big meaty tires.

The GT4 version does have 10.5’s in front and 11’s in the back. I’ll guess yes to your question.

it's the same car. with the same chassis, and the same wheel wells....

Tragic really. Poor decisions on his part. The Japanese involved really bungled it.
