I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I'm really hoping the Z35 will include a roadster option. And maybe by then they can figure out how to make a soft top that doesn't collide with itself.

Joining the armchair speculation with not-so original takes:
Motor exists Maybe they'll re-use a platform Doesn't sound like there was any partnership unless I missed something. A manual is probably still easier to manufacture and engineer around, while appealing to the same existing niche, and hopefully tipping more in favor of buyer accesibility within said niche. But if we had to settle, it give us something reliable and not a price-gouger. Opportune time to fufill the voids of the Supra. Might not be as fast, but buyer accessibility and just meeting rather simple fanatical demands will carry more weight. I can keep nut sucking the idea of saving towards a C8 for the supercar bargain it hopefuly stays on track of being...but end of the day, I'm open to something that makes a point to not needing to spend the extra ~$30,000. Nissan doesn't have to do rocket surgery here. Just...make the car. |
Strictly speaking, the engine was developed with Mercedes

Similar to how McLaren did it with their 720s. That hp figure is at the crank and again i assume u know this. I'm not saying they didnt make any changes, but definitely not a 50hp bump for the 2020 model. Maybe 10hp bump or something and making little changes here and there. I'll be in my bunk! |

the point of that whole video was to hype the Z. why would the tease the new GTR as well? it would totally overshadow the Z in this. i think it's also coming but will get it's own video teaser. |

This new 400Z at first glance reminds me of a poor man's Aston Martin. |

People are clamoring about the tranny. I get that. But what I'm concerned with is the steering. I like my old heavy feel hydraulic system. I'm not fond of new electronic systems. Sure they can have various settings etc, but the settings never seem to get it right. Add to it that some companies lump the steering setting in with tranny and engine settings (all in one sport setting) and it's not my thing at all. I'm really hoping they get the steering right, as steering feel and handling are my favorite parts of my 370Z. |
