Premium Mandatory?

Hey yeah so I was at the gas station today and opened my gas door, and inside it said premium unleaded only (93) sooo I was wondering do you have to fill the Z with premium or will mid-grade be good enough? Will it effect engine performance if you go with mid-grade?

theDreamer 07-28-2011 10:48 PM

91 or better only

This is why everyone should read there entire owners manual cover to cover. This is a expensive sophisticated peice of Japanese brilliance and you should be very fimialr with her.

The cheaper gas won't save you money.
I had a Celica GTS that required premium and I decided to run the lower grade gas. I didn't go to regular, just mid-grade. The mileage dropped so much, not to mention the increased pre-detonation, that I ended up spending more money on the lower grade.
Use 91 or above or you'll regret it.

How much are you filling up per gallon in Middletown? In Torrington it's 3.99 and in Stamford it's 4.39. Crazy how much gas costs and changes price from town to town in ct.
