Car won't start, not steering lock failure

I went to start my car tonight and it wouldn't start up. For the first 5 or so times, it would crank for a few seconds but now it no longer cranks.

At this point it does a rapid clicking sound when trying to start, but it's weird because earlier it was at least trying to crank. The battery meter shows 10V which low I think.

I've already pulled the fuse out months ago to prevent the steering lock issue. Is this simply a dead battery? My headlights and all lights work, I can go into ACC and ON mode freely. It's also worthy to note that after a while I got a weird issue where the car wouldn't beep when locking and unlocking, but that noise came back again.

Also is the best thing to do to go to the store and buy a new battery and just see if that fixes it?

Sounds like you may have a low/bad battery.

Try to get a jump to see if it'll start.

If after starting and letting it run for a while for it to charge it wont restart Replace the battery.

Okay that's what I figured, thank you. If it does end up running fine after getting a jump, would there be any reasoning behind why the voltage fell so low?

I suggest to have the battery tested.

You may have either left something on or the battery is getting ready to die.

IF your voltage is just above 14v once starting? The charging systems fine and again a simple battery issue.

Going by your description in OP, you drained the battery trying to start the engine. The starter pulls a lot of amps.

Take Trips advice and get your battery checked. Most auto parts stores will check for free or cheap.

Yep it was simply a dead battery, TIL the lights work on a dead battery if it still has enough charge.
