Just want to share my horror story
Quote:
My car has been in the service department over 11 times since ownership. The gears won't stop grinding, throwing codes, not fully disengaging, the last dealer that worked on it and replaced the CSC really really messed it up. It won't even run right anymore engine wise. It's horrible having the feeling of worrying about breaking down because you are afraid of how reliable your car is because of its past incidents. -Raj |
In the process of seeing what Nissan can do. This dealer will be never touching my car again and I'll try to get the word out about their quality too.

So have they figured this thing out yet?

I have a lot of miles on mine and have been lucky it seems in comparison to you both. |

The dealer literally said they are incompetent so another dealer will be picking up what they broke. Also a case with corporate is open -Raj |

Car is currently at the dealership getting looked at by a Nissan Engineer. Will let you all know what they say.
Found a walk around of my car on youtube lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVj7u5cNnDM |
Just got the call from the service manager. They want to keep my car until tomorrow. The engineer ran some "tests" and wants to run some more "tests" tomorrow to collect more "data" I say it in quotes because I tried to ask what tests exactly were done and got a runaround answer.

Day 2 at the dealership.
Service manager tells me that the Engineer wants them to tear the engine down and see if coolant is in the block. And then try cold starting it in the morning. If you refer back to my picture from when they had it for 14 days, it says they performed a leakdown test and it passed. So they're doing the same thing again is what it sounds like. If the head gasket is blown, it's not showing any signs whatsoever. |
The amount they're going to have into labour they could have replaced the engine already.

Update. They checked for coolant in the cylinders as if theres a blown head gasket, even though they checked that before. Had my car 3 days this time. The ABS/VDC off/Slip light came on twice today. I noticed a lot of people said to check the brake fluid. I did and it was full just below max. There's antifreeze everywhere as if they took the cap off while it was hot and sprayed it everywhere. Engine grimy and dirty everywhere. I noticed something on both stock air boxes that looked odd...looks like spit, but feels like candle wax or something? Anybody have any ideas? Pics below.

Others have posted that the brake fluid should be right at the max level, not just below. Might want to try that.
