The dealership doesn't do tops so my car is at an upholstery and convertible top shop in town. They've done about 10 350Zs and 6 or 7 370Zs so they have experience at least. They told me 4 days so they aren't fast but I just want it done right. I don't care if it takes 2 weeks.

Went to look at my top at the repair shop. They did a fantastic job on fit and finish on the new top but Nissan didn't send them the right parts to fix the problem... my ripped headliner. Everyone and at the dealership and even a corporate part person thought the top was all one piece/part number, it's not. Back to the drawing board.
Edit: Headliner is being overnighted. |
Finally got my top fixed. Fit and finish is great and it works like it should. Kudos to Jim's trim shop.
I mentioned in the first post the top had been redesigned and the person that replaced the top made it a point to tell me that it was indeed a little different. I can see where there is a new piece of elastic attached on the sides to the frame. |
@ubetit, can you take a picture of the new piece of elastic or what's changed on the top? I'm curious what version I got installed a month ago.
