how tall are you?
how tall are you? do you feel you sit high in the roadster? im 6.2 and i do feel tall...i am just out of a audi tt so its new to me.
Weird...I traded in an Audi TT for my roadster too. But I'm only 5'11" :D
6'-1" not problems here
6'4"
5,8 Here.
6 even....no probs!
6"5 here, I can't fit in the roadster and my head goes past the higher part of the windshield... not comfortable. Perfect fit in the coupe though.
guess its cause its new...also ordered this car without sitting in it lol....i do love it!
I'm 6'1" and don't have too much of an issue with the car. It has more room than my old S2000, but my head is almost touching the top when it's up and my forehead does get some wind with the top down.
I'm 5'8" and my wife is 4'11.5". Neither of us have issues.

I'm 5'9 and didn't have any issues sitting in a roadster even after driving it for over 2 continous hours.
6' but I found the coupe had a more comfortable seating position than what I can adjust for in the roadster. Just feels a tad more cramped.
I'm 6'4" and I can't claim any problems... top up I've got plenty of room and don't hit the roof when not helmeted, when helmeted it rests on the interior fabric but I've never been bounced into the crossmember. Top down I don't believe I'm above the windscreen but my helmet is. That being said my seat is dropped as low as can be and I've got the seat pushed forward some so that I can get some rearward lean. I've put felt inbetween the seat and the plastic surround so that I can jam them together without worrying about the leather rubbing through. They did shorten the windscreen on the roadsters compared to the coupes to maintain the look.
The one thing I can complain about is that because the windscreen is shorter, the rear view mirror is right in my field of view when looking right...not bad for normal driving...easy to see behind almost without moving your eyes, horrible when on a track or driving aggressively. I tilt the mirror as far right ward as it goes so that it becomes a narrow slit of an obstruction which works very well...pain in the *** for mountain driving however as your sides are the only thing you have left to look for cops ;) |
6'1" No problems.
ok you guys are gonna laugh at me but we sacrifice for what we want right? I traded in my 2010 370 coupe for my roadster and first thing i noticed was that i wouldnt fit. 6'5 here. my right knee wasnt working out and i just cant sit up at a near 90 degree angle which is what it felt like reclined all the way. since id come from a coupe and had no problems at all i looked around so see the difference and it was clearly the headrest hitting the rear thing behind. so...... i popped out the headrest. dealer dude looked at me like i was crazy. got about 6 or more inches of recline and now perfect fit.. again.
i did the passenger seat too since a lot of my friends are my size and my girl is 6'2.. and also just to make it look even. ive had well over 10 people in the car and only one has asked.. um doesnt this car come with headrests? and he is 5'1. i told him to grow up. its prob not for everyone, but if you find it super uncomfortable and need more inches.. try it out. the remainer of the seat fits PERFECT in the space behind and i actually think the interior looks cleaner with the top down. |
lets see some pics!!
i am feeling better everytime i drive it! at first it was like....WTF no room! |
ddanis60, you really wanted a roadster didn't you? I'm 6'5 as well and couldn't fit in the roadster. Glad you made it work somehow
I'm 5'2" not a problem

I‘d love to see some pics of that ddanis. Clearly you‘re a baller :)

I have to try the no headrest....
I'm 6'1 and I fit in the car fine. What I do for longer roadtrips is that I take my shoes off and I can stretch my legs behind the pedals to get extra comfortable. I had to do the same in my S2000, but this car is way better room-wise. |
I think I have a pic on my pc at home I'll upload. If not then I'll take one tomorrow. Fo
Sho. Would be cool if I stumbled upon something cool to help all tall people out ;) |

I hadnt took out the passenger one yet obviously and the drivers is only half reclined into the cavity. plus its not a very good pic but you get the idea |
Ah i see...on the touring model their are "winglets" for lack of a better word which surround the headrest which prevents your trick from working... I was a bit confused before.
yes....i cant do that or even try it due to the seats that are in my 370...i am feeling way better in it anyways!
5'7" -- no probs
Headroom
Headroom was a major concern for me also. I'm 6' even, and without dropping the driver seat all the way down/back, I still have a good 4" or so before I hit the roof.
when i first started driving it...i was like i feel like i sit too upright...it was never about the headroom for me.
I'm 6' and have noticed, at times, that I feel more cramped than I did in my former S2000. I find myself sitting with a very straight back so that my legs have enough room to stretch. One thing that I keep going back to is the accelerator placement with that floor connection that seems to put my leg in an uncomfortable angle sometimes. Do others experience this?
yes i do, still have less then 500 km on it...more i drive it the better i feel in it though.
I'm 5'-10"/male/29 yrs. Where r u from?

that sucks! time for a body kit!
Damn you guys made me feel short for 5'7 ;) LOL
I'm 6' 3". I find my head touches the inside lining if I sit up straight. Instead I have the seat as low as possible and the back leaning a bit back and I fit all okay.
First day with the car. Vroooooommmm! Still finding my way on the heel toe action and building confidence to take it closer to the red line. db |
5-11, no problems , only have 130 miles on her though...
