No problem. I just sold my wife's Nightster and my Road King is up for sale. Gonna get back to my car guy roots and pay more attention to my 'vette.

jazz 05-24-2011 10:08 AM

anyone feel twitchy after they dropped the car??

Fire 05-24-2011 11:31 AM

Thanks guys, I recieved a plaque. No I'm not going to take it to every show after this to show that I won something before. I hate that LOL. Jazz my car does not feel twitchy after the drop. I might feel twitchy as I see large potholes infront of me or something lying in the road.

jazz 05-25-2011 08:24 AM

when i hit the on/off ramps at 90 it feels twitchy.

jazz 05-25-2011 09:13 AM

do you think i need to go firmer...it is a bit soft i guess.

Fire 05-25-2011 01:58 PM

Do you have sways? You might want to go with adjustble stiffer sways and shocks if you feel like it is rising then loosing traction. To me twitchy sounds too stiff though. Hard to diagnose here. Need to give a person with susp. tuning experience a ride in your car to tell for sure what to do.

jazz 05-25-2011 02:21 PM

I have it all swaybars, coilover, control arms!

Fire 05-25-2011 02:37 PM

Jazz I would start by doing simple adjustments. Test each one to see what makes the car feel best. Adjust what can be done without taking the car out of alignment first. I almost forgot to ask. You did get the car aligned after your mods right? Dumb question but one that need to be asked.

i had it done within 50km. i have to drop the rear shocks to adjust them, cant do them with them in the car. it seems to have lots of rebound(give) its nice and smooth just putting around...its when im on it seems to jitter(?) in the bends! think im going to go 80% hard all the way around then try it. this weekend or next see how much time i have to play with it. it a lot of work grrr

Fire 05-25-2011 03:03 PM

Jazz you should move you coilover thread to the susp. tech area. I'm sure people that post there can help you. You have alot of adjustment possible with your sways and coil overs. Hope you get it worked out as a twitchy car doesn't let you enjoy the driving much.

Do you have a Firestone service shop in your area? I don't. They have a lifetime alignment that people have used. They do adjustments and realignments all the time and they only pay a one time fee. One guy posted that he had like 10 alignments in a month.
