Rear Spoiler on the Roadster

Hi,

Has anyone here installed a rear spoiler on the 370z Roadster? I've seen heaps on the coupes online but not on the verts.
Appreciate if anyone can show some photos or even comments if it is possible to do so. Not sure if the weight of the spoiler will affect the opening and closing of the trunk.

Cheers

m4a1mustang 06-13-2010 12:08 PM

I don't think there are any out there that will fit the roadster (yet).

craniac24 06-13-2010 06:22 PM

That's probably because it would look ridiculous. Although I have seen plenty of people do plenty of ridiculous things to their cars...

Zigen5 06-13-2010 09:42 PM

Correct they have not made one for the roadster yet. I don't know if it would look good since our butt is so round... Lol

Wow, looks good. Much better than I expected. I thought it would look rice, but it doesn't.

Chris_1 06-30-2010 08:48 PM

I like it, but you can tell that it needs to be this spoiler and thats it. Anything bigger would just not look right, definately a good job.

ZRoland 06-30-2010 08:54 PM

Thanks Chris and everyone. I have info where to get the spoiler if any one wants it....

fullmonty 06-30-2010 09:01 PM

The spoiler looks pretty good on the Verts

Mr370z 07-01-2010 12:21 AM

info pretty please!... also which kit is that on your car? S-Tune??

ZRoland 07-01-2010 10:16 AM

The front spoiler is a Nissan Nismo spoiler and the rear is from spoiler solutions. Get in touch with Parts for My Nissan in California and Spoiler Solutions in Ebay. Both quality and fit are very good and comes prepainted in the 7 production colors. Both come with hardware and installation instructions. Time to install the front was about 2.5 hours and the rear was about an hour.

Templates for the front are close but need adjustment. suggest aligning the front spoiler to the bumper prior to drilling.

Rear uses markers and suggest using holes on the very edge of the left and right side of the spoiler.

Have fun....

See if you can set-up a group buy to get discounts for both places.

I noticed you also have the short antenna on your Z. Mind telling me where you bought it? I live in Singapore and so far I'm unable to find 1 off the shelf here.

ZRoland 07-14-2010 02:26 PM

ebay here in USA. Works like the OEM stuff. No loss in reception. It is Al with Carbon fiber. i will search my recpts. and let you know the dealer.

ZRoland 07-16-2010 09:21 PM

Not bad... It actually looks pretty classy! Two-thumbs up! :)

BeachZTT 07-17-2010 09:28 PM

Ordered mine last night. They claim that it will match the Black Cherry perfectly. I will let you all know. Fingers crossed. :)

Finishes the lines of the car nicely and cures the bubble butt.

Liked everyone's input. I have been enjoying this car and love driving and yes cures that bubble but...lol

BeachZTT 07-19-2010 09:21 AM

Just got a notice that my spoiler will ship (FedEx) tomorrow. May have some pics for you guys this weekend if I can find time to get it mounted. My 3M UltraShield is being installed this morning.

I will try and do a spoiler photo post of my install.

@ZRoland- any install tips/lessons learned would be grately appreciated. :)

ZRoland 07-19-2010 10:35 PM

Follow the instructions and on the outside of each wing is where you bolt through trunk. That is the first hole on each wing. Have a flex magnet just in case you drop the nuts. Coat the bolts with light silicone to prevent leakage abnd don forget to put the weather strip on the front. Before you drill holes onto the trunk just kinda of dry fit the spoiler for where you want it to sit and eyeball the markers that you have place. Drill straight down so that alignment of the bolts and nuts will be easily performed since it has to go to 2 plys of metal. Good luck and you will be happy with the fit and finish.

The color matching on the NISMO S-Tune parts has been spot on for all the pieces I have seen. We inspect each piece to ensure that there is no damage prior to shipping.

Each piece gets the "OOOOOO...AHHHHHH" treatment.

I m glad to hear that the 'Verts can use the S-Tune wing. With that said. I am sure that the base wing will fit as well since both are bolting to the same area.

I have a QAB White wing in stock now that I will be willing to sell at a discounted price. It was a item a customer backed out on and is non-returnable. PM me for pricing.

Dustin

BeachZTT 07-20-2010 12:03 PM

Thanks! Good info guys. I will update when I have it installed.

BTW, the UltraShield came out perfect. I feel safer already. :)

BeachZTT 07-24-2010 08:42 PM

Spoiler is on....

Here are a few shots. I couldn't be happier! Paint is perfect, fit was perfect and installation was pretty easy. I will do a write up when I get a little time.
