Any word on the TSB?
|
I'm in Ohio. My 370z is put away for winter. Will check with the dealer in March or April.

I haven't heard anything yet. I will be calling my dealership mid March for a status update.

Had my power window issue pretty much addressed by my local dealership on this past Friday. The service tech spoke with Nissan about the top issue and was told that they are no longer issuing the replacement 5th bow bungies as the fix. He said that they told him that the fix never really resolved the issue as they had expected. They also told him that they are still working on a forthcoming solution. I think i will be speaking Nissan USA to open a case to make sure they have some documention that this top issue is not resolved for me and the dealership is not receiving any direction.

Got an update from my dealership.
The fix is being designed in Japan. Apparently they have created the fix which they describe as "working superbly". But unfortunately they are still validating it and it will be another 2 to 3 months before they release the fix and tsb bulletin. So i was told to call the dealer back in a few months. Not sure but i believe only recalls are covered out of warranty. If this is just a TSB (technical service bulletin) then most likely may not be covered. Maybe if enough people complain to nissan corporate they may do a free fix.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but I am still very doubtful that Nissan is working to fix this and think that your dealer is just blowing hot air your way.

I just called the Nissan consumer affairs (Nissan Corporate) at 1-800-647-7261 option 7.
I opened a new case and was told that if everyone with this issue calls in and opens a case, the fix may come sooner and may even become free. It's pretty much a question about how many people are affected. If a lot of people complain, Nissan will act differently than if only 1 or 2 people call in. Last year when Nissan replaced my roof they said I have used up my Nissan extended 5 year warranty (I still have 4 years of warranty left) due to the high cost of the roof and the current resale value of my car. Apparently, extended warranty can't pay out more than the value of my car. So I now have a warranty I'm still making payments on (till end of 2019) but yet can no longer use it. So when I called today the representative told me that they will try to do something about my warranty to help me out - maybe make an exception and let me keep using it…. I suggest you all call in and open a case with Nissan so they can escalate this issue…. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

Here is something cool i saw. For those that are having a problem with their top, until it's fixed they can use the Covercraft interior cover. See attached photo of what it looks like on a 370z. It's pretty cheap, about 80 to 150 bucks online. From far away it almost looks like a roof.
