So far so good
Green all the time for me

After reading a few posts i gave up on looking for this answer. I had the latest EcuTek tune done. It also adjusted my throttle response and a few other things dramatically, why do Sprint Booster (still not sure what that is) as opposed to doing a full tune? Z's used to lag off the line but now it throws you into the seat off the line.

Here's your answer. If you had the lag tuned out when you had your tune done, then the booster will serve no purpose. My tune didn't address the throttle. Had I know to tell them to do it, I wouldn't have needed to spend more money on the sprint booster. That's all the booster does, remaps the throttle. You had it done via a tune, which is what the booster does.

Littlejuanito, my car is the auto. I love mine all the way!!! I typically drive mine around in "green" mode. Install is super easy, for me was getting the plastic piece where the bolts for the pedal are. Luckily I found a mini flat head screwdriver used for glasses to pry it off. By the time you get that booger your light goes off from the door being left opened which needs to happen when installing. So super simple. For the ones with tunes, I ponder it all the time but no tuner remotely close and I always regretted tuning my two audi's, so many freaking issues and always felt it compromised the car so poorly. When I stuck a SB in I thought holy crap!!! And I had spent thousands in flashes, coils, plugs, and a turbo replacement. Go figure!

Update/Review

I installed the SprintBooster and I gotta agree with everybody, it definitively works as advertised.

So far the only issue I have, it's having to get used to the clutch work since it feels a little different. I'm running it in Green mode, didn't really used it on RED yet but I think for driving around town and/or in stop and go traffic, the RED would be too much.

Anyone with a MT6 care to input?

I have had it a few months now with my MT. I keep it at red all the time, took a little to get used to. It's been a great MOD though.

Congrats! your gonna love it. I started off on the green setting and it was pretty good. After a few days, I switched to Red mode and it's awesome. I suggest you start off on the Green setting so you can get used it, then move up to the Red, it changes the whole driving experience.

Love SB!!! It's funny how people dog it and they never used one!

Wrong thread. But answering your question, I pulled the SLU fuse as well and I also get that flashing until the car starts but no issues with it so far.

JC-Nismo 02-17-2016 04:02 PM

Just installed mine and one word..................WOW!!!
The response is strong and pulls extremely hard now, I'm a happy camper.

Zbrah 02-17-2016 04:05 PM

It's not a hype. Sprint Booster is legit!

12k miles on its clock, no issues and have started cycling it off on the freeway then green mode in traffic. Still turn it off when I paddle shift. I think my car is still adjusting and settling. In green mode paddle shifting it's still abrupt and firm, guess that's great when my foots in it but for daily, I'll turn it off to manual shift. Red mode so freaking awesome and crazy amazing. Shifts are super quick when left in auto. Just checkin in, wish we could all hang!

Zbrah 03-19-2016 11:28 PM

Mine is still on red since installed. I would only switch to green on the couple of rainy days we had. Still going strong and loving this mod.

Just installes Sprint Booster

I have a 2010 roadster. I'm happy with the results.
Hope I don't get a ticket now!

Update, removed Sprintbooster and replaced it with the Windbooster 2S 9 mode with 10 adjustable steps per mode. Take the SB and add more dynamics but 1000 times more refined feeling. Feels like my RaceChips version in my 2015 Audi as far as throttle feel and definition. What's also super cool as it has both manual and auto transmission options no matter what your driving. The modes in "manual trans" are just all the auto offers just even more aggressive. Also, seems like all modes are more linear, not just all rough power off idle. Crazy better in every single way and it's the quality feel it gives and that refinement feeling that I love and now have! $200 payed thru paypal thru Cammus/Windbooster directly. Talk to Nancy thru face book and she will hook you up. Crazy thing too, shipping from China was like 1 week only. Didn't even expect such quick DHL to my door shipping. Gentlemen, pull out the wallets, you'll buy me a brew freaking later, I promise!!!

I'd like to know more about this

JC-Nismo 06-09-2016 04:17 PM

Wow, is that right???
Didn't think it could be much better than SB...............

bhandy 06-09-2016 05:05 PM

Yes, yes, yes!!!! It's so different and I didn't even mess with different levels on each, left them at level 5. The eco mode would be extremely useful like when I let my daughter drive or spouse, significant other, my case ex-wifers. Haven't explored paddle shifting and switching to "Manual" and exploring all the modes, it was just obvious how my SB was lacking, bigtime!

Cool. Thanks. Do you a direct link where this can be ordered?

bhandy 06-09-2016 10:39 PM

Go to your facebook, search: Windbooster Nancy. She's the sales manager, message her thru there. Going thru that she will give you wholesale price. When I was going thru their website it shows retail which was $317. She will hook you up bigtime. When you go thru paypal it was $193. Tell her Brian Handy with the 370z told you, she may get a group discount thing going if enough people respond. Pretty sure they are the ones making the SB, they sell the exact looking unit for $79. The 2S model makes the SB look so generic and not deserving of the Z.

did you ever try the apexi ?

1/2 of the cost

I tested a sprint booster at their Sema booth and went with it. Worth every penny IMO.

Spartan 1771 01-12-2017 12:27 PM

I know this is a pretty old thread, but I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with their Sprint Booster or if they still love it after a few years of ownership? I'm seriously interested in this mod.

Why did you sell it? Were there issues with it?
