Waiting.....

Waiting to get my new Z is killing me never wanting to order again. Next time I am gonna get what they have at a dealerships. Driving a car that's slow makes the waiting longer.

I think it is better to wait and get exactly what you want. So you won't have any 'should have' regret later on.

Just curious why you have to order? Thought the 2015 is available now.

It did feel good locating the car I wanted and buying the Z that day. I've wanted a Z for 11 years, couldn't imagine waiting a day longer. It feels so good.

I had to order my 15 370z Nismo tech cause I couldn't find the one I wanted near me. Solid red isn't as popular in my area.

The one I will get will have maybe 1 mile. I don't want any miles on my car. And TX is like 1100 to 1300 miles away from me.

If the price is right and you don't want to wait, fly in and drive it home. I bought mine 900 miles from home.

That just means you're forced to take a sweet road trip. :driving:

Plus your break-in period would almost be done by the time you get home!

KrnShawty 12-15-2014 10:46 AM

Alrdy have a road trip planned once I get my car. Nj to Florida in February.

KrnShawty 12-15-2014 10:33 PM

Finally received notice my Z is in transit from Japan... Estimated date is 28ish of January. Hopefully sooner...

DatsunFTW 12-15-2014 11:05 PM

Congrats  Wish I would have waited :shakes head: but oh well. Means more projects! :ugh2:

KrnShawty 12-15-2014 11:06 PM

Trust me waiting is like torture.

DatsunFTW 12-15-2014 11:09 PM

I think I waited and searched for about 5 months after my 350 accident.. took soooo long to find the right one. I wanted a base with touring and manual. Found it! Just had some scarring from the previous owner but oh well had 10k and fluids were all drained with filled with nothing but the best. No problems ever with the car. So I at least found a good deal :)

Don't you mean a base with the sport package that's manual?

DatsunFTW 12-16-2014 12:01 AM

Base with touring is just base with leather interior. Stock brakes, 18" wheels. I didnt like the 19's personally and the trunk lid has no spoiler

DatsunFTW 12-16-2014 12:01 AM

So a good basis of a project that I was willing to undertake regardless of the money spent

KrnShawty 12-16-2014 12:06 AM

You don't have to say base with touring it's just called Touring. Just throwing a heads up so you don't sound clueless about the Z.

KrnShawty 12-16-2014 12:08 AM

Trim levels:
Base
Base with sport or tech package
Touring
Nismo

KrnShawty 12-16-2014 12:42 PM

Thanks I can't wait....

Agent K 12-17-2014 01:57 AM

I special ordered my Lexus and had to wait (4) months to get it so I know what you're feeling. But like everyone else has said, "worth the wait ".

KrnShawty 12-17-2014 07:16 AM

I think it's cause I miss driving a Z.

Yeah you should have waited for the 911. Lol

tjlazer 12-17-2014 09:35 PM

Touring also comes with and without Sports package, doesn't it?

KrnShawty 12-17-2014 09:39 PM

I know the 2012 thru 2014 do. Not sure about the 2015 since they changed up the trims

In answer to your question...

According to the info on Nissan's website, here are the answers to my earlier questions.

1. There is no Touring/Sport model for 2015.

2. The Sport Tech model includes the same Bose audio system as the Touring.

3. The Sport Tech model includes the Homelink universal transceiver.

4. Neither the Sport nor the Sport Tech model includes aluminum pedals.

5. The Sport Tech model includes XM satellite radio. I'm not sure if the CD player is single-disc or a changer; this feature is becoming increasingly irrelevant anyway.

The wheel designs are the same. The Base and Touring wheels appear to be black in the center and silver at the edges.

Oh believe me Datsun is the least person to be clueless when it comes to the Z!
He was just trying to be more specific. But yes its just called a touring model.

Try to give us a honk when you reach FL!

KrnShawty 12-27-2014 07:27 AM

Hahaha ... I should go to a Z meet in Florida but noticed a lot are in Miami. I am going to the Jacksonville area tho

Zoren 370 12-27-2014 07:44 AM

Central Florida Z club is within the area of Gainsville down to Orlando.

For Jax nice group over there is Staggered Motion!
But I for warn you this guys run minimum 120miles on a slow normal phased cruise!lol

KrnShawty 12-27-2014 07:51 AM

This will be my first time in Florida how's the weather in March there?

Zoren 370 12-27-2014 08:45 AM

Last year was still cold. The thing with FL its hard to predict the weather one day its cold as 38f the next day its 60f with scattered shower rains.

Maybe next year would be still cold by March.

Zoren 370 12-27-2014 08:46 AM

Try going to Daytona beach its about 1hr and 20mins from Jax!
Nice scenery!
