Base w/ Sport Package...$30,500???

before taxes and title

Is this a fair price to shoot for? in your experiences?

I am in no way in a hurry but I plan to start looking once the 2010 models come out, I'm basing this off the 09 prices obvs.

If I happen to come across a used 09 with Base/Sport I would def. go for that but in all reality the chances are more likely I purchase new

CervanteZ 10-01-2009 01:02 PM

Invoice for base is 29,979 here in Cali. Plus 3 grand for the sport package.
At invoice, 32,979... I don't think any dealer would go for that, but worth a shot.
Reason being, I was offered a few (base) at invoice, but no one would do it for less than 200-300. And I tried almost all the tricks in the book.

theDreamer 10-01-2009 05:24 PM

I paid 31530 before tax, title, etc. That is invoice of base (6MT) with sport and splash guards. I am adding floor mats, kick plates myself since it is cheaper. This included destination fee also, so 30,500 for just a base with sport (6MT) might be possible with no other options if you deal properly.

shabarivas 10-01-2009 05:35 PM

34k otd base + sport

AK370Z 10-01-2009 05:51 PM

I pain $31594 before tax and title which makes your price really good. JUMP on it  (price included splash guards and floor mats)

Sounds like a good deal. Got mine for 31,832: Base W Sport Package, illuminated kick plates, Floor mats, trunk mat

tranceformer 10-01-2009 07:46 PM

That's a damn good price!

I got my Base + Sport for $31.4k before taxes & bs.

blinkme323 10-01-2009 07:51 PM

Yeah, that would be a good deal, I got my base + sport a few weeks ago for $31,300 + TTL.

370Zsteve 10-01-2009 08:17 PM

It's a BUYER"S market

As it nears the 2010 coupe release, I see no reason to pay more than Invoice at this point. It's a buyer's market, and 370Z sales have been slow...

I really plan to start looking around Jan-April, that is my time frame

wanna pay off my private student loan before I jump to the 370Z and I'm gonna sell my 300ZX privately, was thinking of keeping it but no need for 2 cars.

was it some sort of deal bc they both bought 1? lol

CervanteZ 10-02-2009 03:59 PM

OP have you been offered a Z for that price? Or are you asking if that's a good negotiated price? Some answers ain't vibin' here.

He is asking if that is a good price to ask for. It's pretty obvious from his first post.

I guess I'm gonna go base only, every damn base with sport I can find has extras totaling 2-3k on top of it

FuszNissan 10-16-2009 12:27 PM

I can see getting to 31K, but not 30,500 for a base + sport.

laze1 10-16-2009 01:15 PM

I just purchased a Black/Black Coupe with Sport package for $30, 900, it has carpets and lighted threshold on the doors, plus $700 Dealer charge and taxes...This was the straight up Internet price from the dealer..no haggling

FuszNissan 10-16-2009 01:49 PM

$700.00 Dealer charge...ouch.

gnarf 10-16-2009 02:50 PM

i want a base + sport in red for that price...::sigh:: guess we cant have what we want all the time..

areyouin729 10-16-2009 02:54 PM

$31,000 is fine as well

is the Syncho Rev really worth it?

I'm putting like $8k down and trying to keep my payments around $400

FuszNissan 10-16-2009 03:07 PM

Consider the fact to get the sports package on a base model you used to pay for the track model 350, which was more than the touring. I think Nissan hit a home run with this package.

coaster 10-16-2009 03:16 PM

I'm here in CA, and a dealership has a Base+Sport for 29,999, and 33,274.75 OTD. How's this price look? I am debating if I should trade in my '06 Base.

FuszNissan 10-16-2009 03:26 PM

Depends on what your tax rate is.

coaster 10-16-2009 03:31 PM

Tax rate out here is 9.25. Ouch!

elmz 10-16-2009 03:57 PM

It seems like prices are a little higher in Socal. The best price I've been given is 300 below invoice for 32,700 Base+Sport before TTL from a Riverside dealer where I bought my 05 350Z. San Diego dealers were shocked when I told them that...they are not willing to go that low.

coaster 10-16-2009 04:09 PM

There's a Nismo Z here going to 35,999 + TTL. That seems like a pretty good price.

Trade-in makes things easy, but selling it on your own will always get you more $$$$$$$$$$$$$

coaster 10-16-2009 10:38 PM

370Zsteve: I definitely know what you mean. I would like to part everything out first and see what I can get for a base. Thanks for the advice!

But it is a pain in the ***! And you have to deal with people that jerk you around.

lando76 10-17-2009 02:26 PM

The only thing that can happen if you offer 30.5k is you'll piss them off
so screw it why not. I dont think that would work with the 2010 models simply because they are new and they have more time to sell those before depreciation affects them. Plus there is nothing coming out for a while after that. But on an 09 that should be your target.

Lessk 10-17-2009 11:40 PM

Here in Wichita, KS they have them discounted to $30,250 at the moment. Base+Sport+Trunk mat+window tint

I wish I was prepared to take that red one home I test drove.

You should never wax new paint. Just an FYI

As long as you don't jerk people around I've got no problem trading in to you, either that or should I look into Carmax?

LiuTangClan 11-02-2009 05:36 PM

I just paid 28,975 + TTL for my Silver Base 6MT w/ Sports package (splash guards, floor mats, trunk mat). I was also able to get 3.49% financing for 60mos! (had to buy the maintanence package to get the lower rate)

If it wasn't for the crazy 9.25% tax rate here in San Jose, the deal could've been better!

LiuTangClan 11-02-2009 05:38 PM

I made the deal this morning and will be picking up the car later this evening. Can't wait!!
