Default Any good deals on 14's

I thought with the 15 being around corner the dealers would be more willing to discount the 14 nismo. It does not seem to be the case. The best that 2 of my local dealers could do was 43k for a 14. They said if I wanted a touring they could discount that $9000 off msrp. Why so little wiggle room on nismos?

Which dealership is offering $9,000 off a '14 Touring? The MSRP for a '14 Touring/Sport/Nav 6M with a few extras like floor mats, trunk mat, mud guards, etc., is $42,249, so $33,249 sounds pretty damn good.

No idea on why no Nismo wiggle room. I looked at a 14' Nismo and the dealer wouldn't deal either. I found my 12' Nismo with 19,000 miles just 2 blocks down the street for 29K. I bought it that day.

Lowest I could get the dealer in Cool Springs, TN (which is close to Nissan US headquarters) on a 14 nismo was $40k. It had been on their lot since the 14 models were released. Even with the threat of 15s coming soon that had better stuff plus Nav they wouldnt budge any lower. I ended up getting a certified pre-owned 12 nismo with 26k miles for $28k. With the amount that I financed after my downpayment I feel so much better than if the deal would have actually worked on the 14.

I'm sure this has been discussed but it does make sense. I don't care for the back seat but as for the other 2 it makes sense.

I posted that on the 370z FB page, no one heard of torque news they said and all debunked that post of mine.

What is the best way to deal with a dealer?
I'm new at this.
Not sure if its still available but there is a red 2014 Z with sport and has about 8400 miles on it.
Its not at a Nissan dealership but at a dodge/ram dealership. It saids it offers a 2 maintanence deal. Whatever that means. I assume oil changes.
They r asking $31k. But obviously it doesn't includes taxes and fees which would take over $35+ k easily.
If I could get it at below what they r asking for I could just pay it off. No payments.
But I don't want to out right say I can pay it off. About maybe 10k or so would be on the card and the rest would be in cash.
Any info would be great

Common strategy is to **** talk your lover Z the whole time. Try to find any damage/scratch/ anything that can be used against the car. Do not show them that OMG I LOVE THIS CAR. Other than that, check a lot of Z's around to have better understanding of pricing, also check online resources and your own budget.

And last but not least, do lots of search and do not rush into getting one and get

Here is what I know... They are asking 31k for the car so this means they paid right around 26k for it on trade. If you have cash a good reasonable offer would be 29-30k out the door for it. Wait till end of month to present your offer. Bonus and perks are offered if they meet their sales goals so there will more than likely be some broke salesman to bite. Don't budge from your offer and walk away if they say no. Give them your number and tell them if they change their mind to give you a call. It took me 5 days to work out a deal on my Z and I didnt budge on what I brought to the table.

Thanks.
Now what do I say if they ask how much down payment I can put down?
I know its not a good idea to tell them cause they will work it out in their favor even though it seems like a good deal.
But I know I could pay it off fairly quick.

Don't talk anything than out the door price. The less they know about your finances the better. Agree to the price with them and then pay however you want.
If you are wanting to finance which I suggest you do with the low rates on autos you should consider getting approved through your bank or credit union. You would then have more buying power and a choice on which is better for you.
