I work as an auto insurance broker. If you have a clean driving record, the difference between companies will be somewhat minimal. I have 3 speedings, 1 speeding 100+, 1 at-fault accident, and a crossing double yellow lines and my insurance will be about $240 a month for Liability: 25/50/25 Uninsured Motorist: 25/50/CDW Medical 10,000 Comp Ded 100 and Coll Ded 1,000. In September 2 speedings and the accident will fall off my record and will lower my rates about 100 per month.

A couple of things you should note. Not every violation comes off in 3 years. Speeding 100+ stays on for 7 years, DUI for 10 years, and there are a few others that stay on for 5-7 years.

Another note, you can get 15% off with Progressive insurance if you a) are a member of a credit union, or b) are a AAA member for at least 30 days before starting the policy.

And one more, Progressive takes your word for mileage, so I have my annual mileage at 2,000 and they never check. Ever.

Hope that helps...

working for state farm insurance.

6 month premium for me is 357 and change, breaks down to 60ish a month. its not that bad, i actually switched from geico to state farm.
just cuz i work for state farm? no. geico had quoted me in the 600 range.

driving 370z touring with full coverage with MD insurance... now i hear CALI has double the 6 mo premium which im well aware of, and unisured motorist equations and what not...

comp and collision at 200 and 250 deductible
25k liability /50k aggregate.

lets see... all the coverages...
if you guys have any questions about car insurance let me know =)

Clean driving record..though not a real long one. i pay 200 a month with full coverage through nationwide and 1000 deductibles. Not the best but for being 18 with a sports car on my own policy i can deal with it.

What a lot of people are leaving out is where the car is insured. Which, as I understand it, makes a heck of a difference.

A car in Bent Penis, Nebraska, is going to cost you a lot less than one in LA, for instance. (an extreme example, I know but to make the point... ;) )

That's why a thread about insurance is kind of silly. Other variables left out in a lot of these posts are age, discounts (multi car? homeowners with same company? student?), and deductible.

Person 1: (25 years old, 1000 deductible, , multi car and student discounts, lives in South Dakota) I pay 500 for the Z every 6 months.

Person 2: (60 years old, 250 deductible, no other discounts, lives in LA) Hey, why do we pay the same amount??? Not fair!

:iagree: The subject of this thread is a complete waste of time!

who cares? let the blissful-less-than-average-joe, paranoid friendly, Obsessive compulsive, and other....... not too uncommon traits that makes us human post our thread no matter how corny, how useless, how retarded it is.

like the truthful, yet iffy, Howard Stern would say...."If it bothers you, go kill yourself... One less thorn in the proverbial thumb of the Earth..." ROFL

at least you're alive right?
thats the spirit....
oh and those without a 370z posting crap about this? come and see me in fullerton. i STILL got that knuckle sandwich waiting for yas.

I pay less than 100$/mo for my insurance, but I'm 27, single, with a completely clean record (both tickets and accidents.) I also live and work in the same county. Also, my insurance is through USAA (mom was military) and I know their rates kick ***.

same here, i am x military and i pay $100 per month for full coverage on 09 acura tl and 09 nismo.

Anyone have any idea how much I'd pay?

I'm looking to buy an 09/10 in the summer once I get my signing bonus to use a down payment.

21/m/no tickets ever but I totaled my 1st Camaro when I was 16.

I'll initially be buying the car in suburban PA, but my job is in Chicago so eventually the insurance will get transfered there (i know its considerably more expensive)...unless I can somehow stay on my parents plan or keep the car registered in PA

Credit scores, because if you have bad credit, you tend to have risky behavior, and in addition, may cancel your policy as soon as you get your car tag.

You will probabbly pay more for the monthly insurance then the car payment. Anyway you can get a quote online. GL

Called my insurance agent to compare a few cars... apparently High Point does not count a 370 as a high performance car and therefore 6 months is not bad at all from them. I think I was quoted at around 5-600?

Consider right now I'm paying $900 every 6 for a 07 G5 which is a pube compared to the Z.

spearfish25 12-28-2009 10:12 PM

Wow, you guys pay a ton.

I'm married, great credit, no tickets. Paying $571/6months with USAA.

Just the Z?

I will be paying with USAA around $790 for 3 cars, 2 full cover and the truck with liability and my deductible are low.

Consider I am 21 -- that pretty much explains away my high rates. Also New Jersey.
