I think it just make more sense waiting a few months to get 14 unless I can get a new 13 for under $30000. Who in their right mind is going to pay $34,000 for a 13 if you can get a 14 for little less.
I think with Nissan dropping their price on the 14, it really hard for those that are selling their used 370Z. IT JUST NOT FAIR......

this again?

:wtf2:

I heard that only those that purchased a 2013 for MSRP will get the new 2014s for $4000 less, if they are less than 2 months into a loan and trade in before the last Thursday before the Equinox.

They probably got what you wanted in as a fluke

Not really. They saw the cars being shipped into the LA area port from Japan, made a call, and as it left Japan they took hold of it for me. They tracked it the whole way and gave me updates like, "its in the US, its on the train, its on a truck will be here tomorrow, you're in it and driving awa...o he's gone"

In 2013 the Nismo was going for $48k while the Sports Package was @ $37k and base @ $33k out here in Guam...

The 2014's are more expensive here.... A lil of $52k for the 2014 Nismo model while the Sports Package is @ 41k and the Base is @ $36k...and our dealer is a Corporate dealer..the reps @ Nissan say the prices are higher here than the U.S. due to shipping...Last time I checked Guam was closer to Japan....How the hell would shipping cost more....:gtfo2:

I don't think anyone in their right mind should be allowed to complain about the price of the Z unless they bought and drive it in Singapore. Right now the 370Z costs over $200K there (~270K in Singapore dollars). New Nissan 370Z Latest Car Price & Prices Singapore - sgCarMart

I'm guessing you guys are talking about a 370Z with sports package and stripped of everything else? Because a Touring model with sports package, 7-speed auto with rev matching, hard-drive-based nav, backup camera, heated seats, carpets, etc comes to invoice of over 42k. I just did the numbers on Edmunds - I got mine fully loaded this way for about 39,900 so I felt I did real well price-wise, but this thread had me wondering so I did the numbers to be sure.

Again, a fluke, the dealer knew they had what you wanted coming then

Either that, or you had THE WORLDS FASTEST car build in history.
People wait 3 MONTHS for their cars, there's NO WAY that you got yours in 2 weeks if you custom ordered it

EDIT: after a reread, you literally described a fluke. Your car wasn't custom ordered, they just happened to have one coming in

It wasnt coming to them though and it wasn't a fluke. A sport with splash guards and trunk mat are the only way a sport comes unless you add on more. I didn't even want that crap on there. Thousands of cars come into the US every day. It was going to the US at the LA or Chicago main holding port till a dealer put the order in. ever seen one of these? BMW has one in Charleston SC. You can literally see about 100 X6's just sitting there plus about 10,000 other BMW's. on the boat ride over or right before shipping they snagged that VIN and ordered it to come to them. Just happened to be from Japan. You didnt have to take it so literally. I'm not sure why they didn't get one from the Chicago port but they didn't.

The whole first row against charlotte st is $100k x6's. what I wouldn't give! I'm sure in Japan at nissan a pic will look just like this. "Ordering from Japan" doesn't mean its getting built. It can also mean its just sitting there waiting for a ride over.

I don't know why the dealer in Guam is charging you more for the 14's. But in regards to shipping, do your cars come direct from Japan?

In Hawaii, our Japanese cars first go through the West Coast ports on the US mainland. Unloaded there and go through whatever steps are needed for import cars and then on to different ships to Hawaii.

My special ordered 13 went through LA then on to Hawaii. My dealer was very good and showed me what ships they were on. It took under 2 weeks to leave the port in Japan to get to Hawaii. Looks like it was in LA for only about 1-2 days. Ships from LA to Hawaii normally takes 4 days to travel the Pacific.

I have a 13 sport and there are no splash guards on it.

I think you're right, your car was not special ordered. I know mine was as the dealer could track it from leaving the port in Japan, through LA then on to a different ship to Hawaii.
