Good luck with that. I'd be shocked if you get a dime from Nissan. They have no control over monetary policy in Japan.

And if they pay devaluation when you get an engine replacement, I don't see why not paying devaluation now

Trust me I'm not holding my breath for the refund either. But I have to try. If they don't do something tho I will leave Nissan and go to a different brand. Iv bought 6 brand new nissans in the last 2 years I'm not gonna lose my azz on my car cause they wanna move a few more. I'd rather just take my business to someone else. They screw me out of value ill just give my business to someone else.

This reminds me of the class action suit someone tried to start against Apple when they cut the price for the iPhone a few years back. Same argument. "I just bought mine at the old price, and the new price is cheaper". The case didn't hold up. I'm not arguing that it doesn't suck, I'm just pointing out there's very little chance of there being any kind of restitution.

True but big difference between a few hundred and $4000.

So would you sell your car in that case, or just not buy any more Nissans? Selling the car would be making matters worse, since you'd eat the depreciation, the new cut in resale value and sell it this early into the note?

It's worth asking for some kind of restitution, I just doubt they're going to do anything. Especially considering you paid less than the new MSRP.

Same legal principle, though.

Nissan likely looked at the decision to alienate the few who bought a 2013 and cut the price to try to get sales up, or let the Z continue to be a very poorly selling car. If I were a shareholder or in a decision making capacity at Nissan, I'd make the same call, especially considering what's been happening with the Yen.

I haven't decided what I will do with my car yet if they don't do something. More than likely ill trade out of it. I sit good in it even with the added deprecation but I will not get another Nissan.

... Case didn't hold up? Apple gave away... $200 (if memory serves me right) of store credit to every iPhone owner.

Bravo! If I had any sort of expendable income where I could eat the depriciation on my recently purchased Nissans, I would... But I can't... ;-(

It would all depend on the deal I would get on whatever car I went with. I'm just so pisssed right now...

Really? I've seen them get a case crammed up their *** several times, but not that one. I don't see it listed here- Apple Inc. litigation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nothing popped up on a quick Google, but you may be correct. It's also possible they settled it before it went to court.

Maybe, but I remember my brother got a $150-200 gift card from them

I get that. It really sucks. I feel for the guys who are taking this in the shorts. But do you enjoy driving your car less now? It would be a shame to ditch a car you like over an issue with the manufacturer.
