What to Look out for.

so im going to talk to the dealer about a specific car tmr, i know enough but not enough to know whether something happened to the car or not, i read some past posts about shody paint jobs and ect ect.

anything specific that i can see without having to put the car up on jacks?

route 46 nissan is the one im going to and there dealer reviews are terrible...

but they have what i want and i have money on hand. i just dont want to buy used and then find out somethings wrong with it

let me know

If the reviews all tell you to stay away, stay away. You've waited this long. No sense in rushing now and taking it in the ***.

Get a CarFax, other than that buying a used car can be a gamble. Dealer could lie to you for all you know. I mean I was sold a defective brand new car with a paint job that needed to be repainted.

ok i carfaxed it and the car has a lien/loan record other than that itssuper clean.
what is a lien/loan record?

Chuck33079 06-01-2013 10:34 AM

So you're disregarding all of the bad reviews of the dealership? I'd walk if all of the reviews are overwhelmingly negative.

Based on this you should probably do more research before buying. Don't need to rush this thing, its better to be PATIENT and wait a week or month and not completely **** yourself over.

This. Learn about financing and find a better dealer without a lot of terrible reviews.

so im going to assume then that a lien record is not a good one? to the little knowledge i have off hand isnt it that the person who bought the car couldnt pay for it?

It probably means that the previous owner had a loan. As long as the title is clear, it shouldn't be a problem. But I would want to buy from a dealer with a better reputation. Why are you even considering buying from a dealer with such poor reports?

Minsu 06-01-2013 12:43 PM

i mean the car is the car regardless of the dealer if i get it at a price i think is reasonable isnt that ok? sry or ignorance just gotta get it all in before i go today

Chuck33079 06-01-2013 12:48 PM

Sure. That makes sense. Most of the reviews are awful, but it'll be different for you. Go for it. I don't think we can really help you anymore. We've done this dance with you for a long time. Buy the car or don't.

Minsu 06-01-2013 12:50 PM

what shall we call this dance mr chuck

Chuck33079 06-01-2013 01:15 PM

Dude, you keep coming in here asking questions you should know the answer to if you're going to make a purchase of this size. When we give you advice like "stay away from shitty dealers" you respond by telling us " It's ok, I really want this car". You've made these threads for a long time, and it doesn't seem like anything is sinking in. Your enthusiasm is trying to get you to make a bad impulsive purchase. We keep trying to stop you and getting resistance. So good luck with your Z. I really do hope you get one this time, but you may end up in a situation you don't want to be in if you rush.

diddy535 06-01-2013 02:10 PM

The fact that you don't know what a lien is means you shouldn't be walking into a dealership especially by yourself. Get an adult to go with you at least. Based on everything you've said you have no idea about buying/financing a car and if the dealer has such bad reviews they are going to smell this ignorance all over you.

Stop telling us you need to walk in today. That car isn't going anywhere, it will still be around for when you get a clue.

MODS: sorry if this is harsh or too much delete it if you want but this guy just won't listen to anyone being nice so I'm trying the tough love approach.

Minsu 06-01-2013 02:55 PM

guys guys. 1 its minsu...not minus...
2. i understand that i ask for your opinion and you have to realize that its your opinion it can be taken or not, and everything you guys said over this couple of month have been taken into food for thought and i have been researching one way or another. and your right i do need to take someone with more knowledge of financing and thats what im gonna do. im not trollin anyone, think of it as a kid whos bad at math and constantly asks is 0/1 is 1 or 0 or nothing at all. 3 not posting for your entertainment, you can find that elsewhere no?

Thanks.

PS. and i also get some of you guys are older than me and im sure you lived your fair share of decisions good and bad. But yea, didnt want to come off as being trollish, like i said i coach tennis for a living and when kids ask me how to hit this one ball over and over and over and over and over again yea i get it, it gets to you, but it takes patience until they do hit one over the net and the look on their face is joy enough for me. thanks.
