I love my 40th and I bought mine with about 5K miles on it about 6 months ago. The price I paid was about what you are mentioned. I have seen them go for a bit less on these forums but not much. For me the 40th was worth the premium because I just love the interior and exterior color combo. The fact that you would be just one of 1000 in the entire US is pretty cool as well. Come to think of it I am sure some of the 1000 have been wrecked
 so one of less than 1000.
