Default Found my Black Cherry Z. Dealer won't budge...help!

I found the 370Z that I absolutely love. A 2010, 370Z Touring, Sport/Pkg, Black Cherry, 13,500 miles, Nissan Certified, and in excellent condition. I already test drove it and it runs great. The dealer is asking $28,700 for it. I have a 2012 MazdaSpeed3 with Tech Pkg with 4,500 miles on it that they offered me $19,500 for which I think is very low. I owe $15,000 on the MS3 which cost me $27,000 for. I can only put down $2000 at the most as down payment as well as the equity from the MS3. Bottom line, I need to get my payments under $300 per month but the dealer is not helping me. Should I walk away and forget this Z or continue to work with them. The car has been on their lot for 2 months. I love the car! Please advise! Thanks!

Should have done your due diligence before you bought the MS3? Sorry man

What makes my situation even worse is that I had an '07 350Z Touring Roadster with 15k miles on it in mint condition that I traded for the MS3. I thought I needed something more practical. Nice car but not the Z!

Stop wasting your money and be happy with your ms3. You are just throwing money out the window by doing that.

Having said that. Just stay cool. They will call you back, then ask them for a better deal.

Post your car on Craigslist for now and see what happens....cost nothing to post and you just might get that extra few grand you need for your payments....Excluding the trade helps the deal so much...

300 x 72 or 84 = 21,600 or 25,200 (lenght of loan you need be looking at for that payment range)

or you could put your equity down and lease a new 2012

trade equity down + 0 down 39@ 300 month base sport.

Tell them 20,500 for the trade w/ 7500 down financing (5500 trade equity +2000 down)

28700 -7500 = 21,200 + TAX + INT

The best way to buying a car is walking in the dealership knowing that you do NOT have to buy the car. Don't be afraid to walk out on them. If they give you a price that you don't like, just leave. Walk right out the front door.

The best way for me was to go in there with the mentality that I didn't have to buy a Z, heck I didn't have to buy a vehicle period. I WANTED a new sports car, but it wasn't a necessity. That helped me make a non-emotional decision and to put the salesmen on the spot. Instead of me going to the dealership looking to BUY a car, I went there looking for the salesman to SALE me a car.

+1......... The dealership will call you w/i a couple of days bc they are in the business to sell & not have vehicles sit on the lot for extended periods of time. The dealership pays taxes on the vehicles that are on the lot & they do not want the vehicles sitting there forever.

Especially toward end of the month... Most dealers have a quota they need to maintain...

Dealerships also have what is called a lotting loan, because the dealer doesnt have all that money to pay for all those cars on the lot they get a bank to loan them the money and then pay them back as soon as the car is sold but then they also pay interest it isnt a high rate but its still money that the dealer doesnt want to pay they are in the game to make as much money as possible not lose money. I worked in the accounting department for a dealer for about a month lol
