invoice price questons, help please

does anyone know if invoice varies from state to state? also, where is this information found (besides this forum), and should one question its validity? i just dont want to look retarded marching into a dealership and saying, "i wont pay more than 500 over invoice, and i know invoice is xx,xxx" or when they try to tell me that the invoice is actually more than what it actually is.

Invoice does not vary from state to state. It it set by the manufacturer.

You can find them on reputable sites such as TrueCar, Edmunds, etc...
