this. The 2012 MSRP's have all been inflated to consider the cost of an oil cooler. You paid less for yours.

Last time i checked on my financing paperwork for my 2011 that i just bought 2 months ago the price had already been increased to the same price that they are now listing for the 2012, so tell me how is it that the people getting the 2012 are already paying for it when i paid the same for my 2011?

obviously you got ripped off... LOL

obviously you havent been keeping up on the prices listed on nissans website before they changed it over to the 2012...the 2011 had a price increase to the same price they are now asking for the 2012 earlier this year so the whole argument about people paying for the cost of the oil cooler in the price of the 2012 is null and void. As far as being ripped off i got my Z for invoice from one of the sponsoring dealers on here.

A whole lot of crying going on up in here.

:iagree: but, i also understand how some people would be upset over the fact that they now include the oil cooler as standard especially if you purchased recently knowing some of the issues with the oil temperature on the Z. I myself haven't really had an issue, highest temps i've seen are around 230-240, but with normal around town driving my temps usually stay around 190-200. Still it would be nice if nissan could offer some type of retrofit like everyone else has mentioned. i was just more or less trying to get rid of the notion that the current $31,450 price was caused by the addition of the oil cooler as standard equipment when in fact the price has stayed the same.

90% of z drivers will never get to that 280 plus needed to hit limp mode. Bottom line if you track your car the factory cooler isn't going to cut it anyway. A nice oil cooler isn't that pricey, would I have liked a factory cooler sure, am I mad that Nissan finally put one in 3 years after I got my z not in the least.

Do I have a faulty oil cooler? With ac on in high temps driving normal I stay at 230-240 and I have hit limp mode on the street before driving extra spirited and it didn't take long. (now my eyes are glued to my gauges)
Edit: this was in palm springs
I will pay top dollar for a factory oil cooler to keep my warranty, since an oil cooler isn't a bolt on and is an ordeal to take out if you have car problems.

just because you got the car from a sponsoring dealership doesn't mean you didn't get ripped off.. secondly if you paid invoice, then you have extra money to get a GOOD oil cooler. They aren't that expensive, nor that hard to install.
and truly if you aren't tracking your car you don't need to worry..

silly troll trix are for kids

True, but oil viscosity breaks down much earlier than 280

while this is true, you can combat this by using a better oil!
also, getting more frequent oil changes!

which you should do if you're going Turbo!!!!

I've had an oil cooler for over two years so I'm not worried about their oil thanks.
