You can buy the side door panels fpr around $500 per side with suede. Or take it apart and install aftermarket suede for under $50.

It's very possible and isn't that hard at all. All you would have to do is take the door panel off/apart and rip the existing fabric off/replace with suede. Use a spray adhesive and take a credit card (or similar) to iron it out and then put it all back together.

Viola, suede door inserts.

Now if you mean something like Suede in the seats, it can still be done.. Just take it to an upholstery shop and have them work it out for you.

I'm actually thinking about doing black synthetic suede for the upper half portion of the doors where the door handles are on back. I always find myself putting my elbow up there and think it would feel more comfortable with it.

Haha thanks, and I want to do this because I don't feel that spending the extra dough on the touring package is worth it but i do desire the suede.. I love suede. The leather seats aren't important to me since they just add more weight, and I dont care for navigation or anything like that.

I just ordered some swatches from this place to see how close a match the synthetic suede is to the oem stuff. I should have it by monday. Will take some picks and let you know how it turns out.

It's from a Civic forum, but if you're thinking about a DIY I'd say it's worth a once over.

Oh, haha.. I was way off. I interpreted your question as if you were asking whether or not it was possible to DIY suede inserts.

Well since you can't order it from the factory then there's a way to DIY it if you should choose.
