Just walk out and wait for them to call back, works best if they have it in stock

Is this for a 2011? If so, that seems to be about the going price for a good deal on a 2011 Base + Sport.

I am looking at 33,300 ( invoice ) for a base package 2011 with sport 6spd.

The dealers in Houston are STILL wanting 500 over invoice! I dont even kow if ill get down to the 33,300

Can you do the VPP pricing at this point? Most major employers have deals with Nissan. Did you try New Cars Pricing and Comparisons Local, Regional and National Car Price Reports at TrueCar

Be very careful, no matter how good you are at negotiating. They will try to get you at the end. When you're about to sign that contract, there's a box that says, selling price. Which is what you agree to with the salesman. and then there's that box that says, "Total cost" which is the cost you agreed to PLUS finance cost. Don't be fooled. Finance charge should be included in your OTD cost.

You should always walk away at this point. They will remove it if you do the walk away method. That's what I did..and yeah it causes a little bit of drama on the floor. But I saved about 1400 dollars by doing that.

NOTE: I paid 56% down payment cash.

Excellent credit: 3.99% APR 48 term
NO WARRANTY, NO ALARM LOCATION DEVICE. all ******** on what they try to sell you after you agreed on a price with your saleman. just say no to everything!
what dealership did you get your car from?

You shouldn't really use OTD price as a benchmark unless the person lives in the same state as you. Everyone has different tax rates (in VA its 3%, but in CA i think its like 9.25%), which will make the OTD price significantly different. I do agree though that you need to make sure that you negotiate based on the OTD price vs. sale price so there are no surprises when you actually go to purchase the vehicle.

Well hell... right now they can't find a PW base + Sport within 500 miles of chicago. So i guess they have a bit of an advantage now :-(

Yeah well you know what, not to call them liars, but when I went to a local dealer they said that there are no other color options in the whole northeast other than silver and black cherry, I just happened to research n cars.com and found my red 370z in NJ (considered northeast region), so dealers aren't always accurate and don;t always have updated inventory lists, so I would recommend using car search engines, the right car for you might be lurking in there, like in my case.

sometimes it pays to be flexible on color (or to pretend to be flexible on color)
