After a couple weeks, i talked them down to 34700 which they said was 200 above invoice. I dont have many choices for dealers so had to go with that. Not bad for me, considering there arent taxes to be paid because im buying it in Alaska. Id probably wait till that time to order but not a big deal no matter which you choose.

I'm curious if you don't mind my asking, did they run your credit at the time of the order? I've been looking at the '11 nismo and have been holding off till about oct/nov-ish just to help bump my rating a tad more and get a bit more for the deposit. Totally hadn't considered getting the '12 until I read this thread but don't want my credit checked until I'm actually going for financing around that time. Reason I ask is this is my first time actually financing a new vehicle and I'm trying to do as much research as possible before hand. Any input from you or anyone in fact would be greatly appreciated since I really love this car. :)

I have been away for a while so please forgive me if this has been recently discussed/answered.

Is Nissan shipping cars (2012 model 370Z cars) currently/ Is the factory in full operation? I noticed that a couple local area dealers have virtually no new Z car inventory.

I had placed an order for the 2012 Nismo 370z a month ago (with a small deposit). I got a call TODAY saying they aren't making any Nismo tuned 2012's now. Piss me off. They're looking into 2011's still kicking around for me now...

I doubt it'll go up since it doesn't look like any real changes from the 2011's.

Interesting observation. Doesn't take into account global currency value changes, demand, limited post-tsunami production, not to mention history.

Does your dealer actually Z's allocated to him for sale? There are a lot of dealers that are taking orders, even taking deposits, even though they have no idea how many Z's they'll get, if any.

Good points. I wasn't too worried about a rise in price because the dealer said they would honor the 2011 pricing if the retail did go up.

I figured they would be able to get me one black 2012 Nismo if I had the order placed soon enough. I have no problem waitting until whenever it gets here (approx. Nov.). I'm going to look into the whole "no 2012 Nismos" situation a little more before I go scooping up a 2011.

No Nismo's being made for 2012, but I managed to find a 2011 Nismo with 10Km on it. It's on it's way from Alberta as we speak (type?)!
