Tochigi is above Tokyo by a bit, so probably looking at 10x normal radiation in that area. Still, not exactly the health hazard / crisis everybody is freaking out over yet.

Looks like the coolant system should be back in operation so hopefully only trace amounts of radiation from here on out...

I hope the best for the Japanese people and all non-Japanese there as well.

Probably not too many 2011s getting shipped anytime soon. Why worry about that? Then again, I already have my 370 Zed.

even if they were to be shipped would any residual radiation residue be on them?

i have spoken with Nissan Canada about fallout and car being contaminated....and tryed to cancel my order...also found a new 370z roadster same as what i ordered at a different dealer and told my dealer i would take it...this is what they said!

Please be assured that Nissan and its dealerships strive to serve the needs of their customers by offering a superior level of customer service.

As we were not a part of the discussions/agreement that you have with the dealership, it is difficult for us to comment on the matter and we are not in a position to attempt to broker a resolution until such time as there appears to be an impasse. While we have documented the situation in our files, we would recommend that you contact the appropriate management personnel at the dealership, as they would be in the best position to address the situation and offer comment.

Sincerely yours,

Consumer Relations Representative

Nissan Canada Inc.

so no help at all from Nissan Canada...even when trying to buy a car that they can get for me....this is just pure greed from the dealer that sold me a car that they cant deliver!

my friend is in nagoya how bad is the radiation there?

wilsonp 03-20-2011 03:25 PM

Nagoya is considerably south of Tokyo (my Mom's family is near there), and there doesn't seem to be any issues that far south.

Jeez -- I didn't even think of that. Yikes... good to know they are checking that before shipping.

Just don't pass judgement on someone else because you have a different opinion about whether they are concerned about the Japanese or the exact amount of hours/days/weeks you believe it is appropriate to wait before YOU believe it is okay to post a question.

If you are disappointed you can start a thread and title it, "I can't believe anyone is interested in their 370Z on a forum with the same name because they obviously don't care about the Japanese who are suffering".

That won't be necessary.
