Base, Sport, Splash, Trunk/Floor Mats.. $31,000 Out the door

Anyone else get this deal yet?

Breakdown is basically a base with sport package, splash guards, trunk mat, floor mats, and destination comes to $34,055.

Tax on 30,000 is $960 (3.2% VA)

So 30,960 + Tags/Doc fee

I would offer 31,000 Out the door.

I was thinking 31,500 but saw a guy with the exact optioned 370z on the road and told him 31,500, he said he got 31,000 out the door at a different dealer, but I'm stuck at buying it at mine since I love the service there.

Anyone else get 31k on the same car, or 4k OR MORE off MSRP?

I got it for $31K before tax which is $500 under invoice, if you think you can get another $1000 off then you're getting one hell of a deal.

AK370Z 04-07-2009 07:38 PM

Mine was base sport splash floormats 31,500 before taxes. Feel free to offer him your amount but I have a feeling he won't take less than 32,000 OTD.

OMGWTFBBQ 04-07-2009 08:53 PM

Good luck with that.

tru_Asiatik 04-07-2009 10:45 PM

MSRP: $34055
Invoice: $31659

i seriously doubt a dealer is going to let you walk away 31k OTD.

370TT,
What dealer?

OMGWTFBBQ 04-09-2009 11:09 AM

If tax is 3.2% in VA, as stated in the OP, then it's a third of the sales tax here in CA (depending on which part of CA you live in). :icon14:

tru_Asiatik stole my car. Same color. Same options. Same price. Same location.

sylenze 04-09-2009 11:20 AM

is it because they are scared that nobody would buy the normal Z since they are releasing nismo and roadster soon...

MightyBobo 04-09-2009 01:13 PM

Doubtful. All the forms will sell, the styling of the roadster and Nismo isnt for everyone.

Cars Direct was going to do:

$32,294 (invoice is $31,594)

$326 License
$55 Dealer documentation fee
$8.75 Tire and battery tax
$3,154.03 - 9.75% tax

35,837.78 - Total OTD

Amazing how it adds up, eh? Dropping the front-end price would help, but sales tax is a killer, especially in California. Good thing it should all be deductible...

What's a tire and battery tax? :ugh:

ortizeg 04-14-2009 10:47 PM

Are all of those taxes really deductible? Under which category?

Sales tax is for this year only, excise tax always has been deductible. Miscellaneous fees probably aren't.

I assume that's like a redemption value on the battery and tires - disposal fee, etc.. it's Cali after all.

Oh, and the Cars Direct price included $200 for floor mats.
