KBB and similarly equipped cars at dealerships say otherwise. They're going for about 30k at dealerships and the KBB claims a trade in of around 27k on them...slightly more than what I paid for it last year. There were only 30k imported to this country and being a limited production vehicle from Australia with an LS engine they hold a decent premium.

As for Z's...I don't see anyone near me doing that. I don't plan on driving hundreds or thousands of miles to get a deal on one...I'm just irritated that a dealership wouldn't be taking thousands off the price of an untitled new 2009 model vehicle when 2011's will be in showrooms any day now.

I don't know what the dealerships in your area are smoking. I bought my Z about 3 months ago. Both local dealerships had 09s left on the lot. One was a PW touring/sport w/ nav 6mt and the other was a Blue Touring 7at. They started negotiation at $33k ($41K msrp) for the PW and $32K ($36K msrp) for the Blue one. I'm sure I could have gotten them down some more but I didn't want either color. Nissan had special incentives on the 09s. I can't imagine they have taken them off. The 2011s are coming out this month. Keep looking. Your local dealerships have spent too much time with the nose powder.

I'll try them again when the 2011's are on the lot and claim that they're attempting to sell a 2 year old car for MSRP :roflpuke2:

I was expecting to see a huge price drop on these vehicles since they're obviously unwanted but I guess they're trying not to lose any money on them..2 years after they arrived on the showroom floor.

I bought a touring/sport/auto for 31k about a month ago and it was sticker of 39,8xx. What I did was look up on nissanusa.com where the 09's were near me and then email the dealer about the one I was interested in. You might have to go to the dealerships website to find an email they respond to though b/c the email I sent through nissanusa.com's website didn't get a response. Basically the email I sent was saying the 11's were coming out soon and if they were interesting in getting rid of their 09 stock, I would be interested if the price was right. Then I got a call and when I got there bargained them down a bit. I would say the best place to start would be emailing dealerships and just see how serious they are in getting rid of their 2 year old stock.

That's a great deal! That's the cheapest I have heard a new 40th sell for.

lol, just talked asked about lowering the price on a 2009 in another dealership while mentioning the pricing Koeppel is giving out.

I think things will change once you walk into that dealership, I hope it doesnt... although, if anything does change please let me know. I don't play games with anyone, we do business one way and that is the right way. We are the largest Nissan Dealership on the East Coast by volume for a reason and its not because we are the most expensive... Thank you very much for your time.
I wonder how much nonsense one would have to go through to buy a car out of state cause this is ridiculous...how anyone would ask MSRP on a 2009 vehicle when 2011's are coming out within a few weeks and their lots are saturated with over a dozen Z's is beyond me..but hey, if that's how they want to do it..I just wont bother going there.
