Thanks for posting this. I'm a lifetime USAA member and didn't even think about them.

Edit: Just went on USAA to check and looks like my nearest dealer is a partner with USAA. Quote is the same as yours... $200 over invoice.

Anytime. Glad I could help.

Judging by your location we probably will end up using the same dealer! Hope we're not looking for the same color... :icon18:

Military AutoSource - Virtual Showroom - Start

Thanks for the link. I've requested a quote, so did you have to negotiate a price or is it set?

the price is set, however the milquote is invoice not only on the vehicles, its invoice for all the options as well.

I got a february discount that totaled 1578.00, this discount included a subsidized amount for financing.

the only fee your not going to get around is the destination fee of 695.00.

let me know who your agent ends up being, mine was Yvonne and she has been awesome to work with on this great deal.

Thanks  ENT-Z

its how i buy all my vehicles, saves me the time and hassle of dealerships, not dissing dealerships, but most people including myself dread pulling into dealership lots...this way i get invoice guaranteed plus any discounts and/or rebates out there...

Hey, new member here.
I just want to thank AK370z, kdo2milger, and others for your guidance on the Z purchase process. I went to PENFED (thanks AK) and got financed. Used the USAA service (always been a member) and got a $300 below invoice quote. Took that to MilQuote (thanks KDO) and they beat that offer no questions-asked by an add'l $200. So here it is: 370 6sp MT Platinum Gray/Black, Tour, Sport, Nav, Splash Guards, Floor mats/trunk mat for $36,690. I think that's pretty good and went with it. It will be ready from the factory July 1 (no rush for me, I am deployed to Japan.)

Btw, is there anything special that I can be picking up over here (Japan) for the car that I can't get in the states? ...just wondering after hearing the cargo net conversations.

I just went to the USAA website and the disccount is minimal. I rather pass on the USAA deal. Besides that they have been total dicks in my last car purchases(Evo8 MR new in 04,BMW motorcycle new in 05, BMW 335i coupe new in 07, C6 Z06 vette new in 08) and unfortunately they came up with some ******** when I wanted to finance through them.

I suggest you find other places to buy a car since USAA proven to be dicks. Try buying through Costco program, they have some great deals and also work with many dealers.

good deal..do it...ill look at this when my time turns to buy

USAA qouted me for

Black 370z touring 6 speed
Navigation
sports package
kick plates

$36,769

Definitely using this service whenever i get back from Iraq.

Question: Never used USAA before can anyone give me a brief description of the buying process using USAA services.

vipor 09-08-2009 08:08 PM

My mom was in the military so I'm lucky enough to have USAA as well. I was offered the same deal and the dealership that USAA referred me to was matched. They trucked the car in for me at no cost as well. :driving:

I used the car buying service and it gave me the option of referring a dealer. I was almost immediately emailed by the dealer with a written quote agreeing to the price. Talking to the salesman he said that they deal with USAA often and it seemed that way.

USAA had also pre-approved me for a 5.24%/$50k/60month loan, but the dealer took a little time while I picked up my Illuminated Kick Plates from the parts dept. and they managed to beat it by a quarter percent.

I went in ready to buy and having done all of my homework, but regardless the visit and transaction were both great. I don't know what people are talking about when they say buying a car sucks. :rofl2:
