40th Anniversary 370z. deal or no deal?

So I was in the area and decided to stop in at the dealer after going to Costco and thats when I saw the 40th anniversary 370z. The paint looked really nice but I'm not a huge fan of the red interior.

I have been looking for a 370z 6MT with Touring+Sports package so it fits my criteria pretty well and the dealer hinted I could leave with it under invoice at around ~36K. Is this a standard deal or a good one? I live in southern california if that helps.

I would honestly prefer a non-40th anniversary and save the 1200$ but reading around the forums it would be hard to find a 6MT+Touring+Sport, is this true?

NCSUPACK09 04-24-2010 08:31 AM

I think that is a really good deal

35,900 here + destination/taxes, the red interior grows on you, I love it now

its a good deal, that combonation is very hard to find...youll pay extra $$ for dealer trade to get one. just get the 40th, its slick. you will enjoy it. make the salesman happy, give him a car deal.

l0aded 04-27-2010 04:30 AM

thanks for the responses, I'm most likely going to the dealer this weekend to get some details. I'll post what happens after that.

m4a1mustang 04-27-2010 05:27 AM

Seems like a good deal... the 40th Anniversary is HOT!

fuct 04-27-2010 08:54 AM

They just came out 2-3 months ago, also its a high premium to pay for a Z that not a lot of people are willing to make as dealers are finding out. Everyone should be able to snatch these up for under or at invoice.

elmz 04-27-2010 03:13 PM

I think its a good deal. But if you're not feeling the red interior (which in my opinion is awesome) you may regret it later.

just a follow up, i went to my local dealer and spent about 2 or so hours there talking prices and test driving it. At first I was offered 38K... and I instantly just got frustrated at him and told him I know this is not the best they can do. Eventually I got them down to invoice 36.8K but at this point I was already tired and did not want to make the purchase today. As I was walking out the door they offered me free leather seat covers (since I did not really feel the red leather seats). The seats are probably about 500$ +/- a few so the deal was about 36.3K but I told him I would be in touch.

I am checking out other dealers first before I put down the card but just wondering what is the BEST price I can go for? I am imagining around 35.5K would be the limit but I am not really too sure.

Hey i just recently came back from the dealer too and brought it down to 35,530 so I'm sure they can either match that or do better...too bad I didnt buy the car that day...same reason as you (exhausted)

whoady4shoady 05-04-2010 04:26 PM

What is the invoice price on the 40th edition?

l0aded 05-05-2010 06:51 PM

36.8K roughly (touring+sport+40th)

thats about right .... my salesman told me 38k for my 40th and the rest is history ... the price depends on how much the want to get rid of the car so they might give you a good price but your looking at 36k- 38k for the 40th

Interesting considering that is what they are telling me at one of my dealerships too. Im starting to wonder what the invoice really is on this particular model.

l0aded 05-06-2010 02:49 PM

I used edmunds tmv to find the invoice (man touring + sport + 40th). I believe I saw 36.8 on the dealer paper too but don't quote me.

I have just found out, that you are correct. The above price is the official invoice of the 40th. I dont know what those other dealers were talking about.

natepaulus 05-08-2010 05:34 AM

Looking at a copy of my VPP Claim form right now. This w/out any dealer options like splash guards, etc.

Invoice=$35747 + 720 Dest.= $36467

If you can manage to score a VPP plan, (Not sure on the current state of them) you can drive off the lot for $34929.88. It was the simplest vehicle purchase imaginable. And, WOW, what a car! None of the other colors come close. This thing is a beauty. Seems to take on a slight color change with different times of day. Do yourself a favor and do it right. GET THE 40th!

icearrowx 05-13-2010 01:31 AM

Driving the only one in nebraska

Got mine for 33k after i traded in my 03 civic LX with transmission problems. the civic was probably worth 3k. Dealership only had the car for 2 days before i snatched it. Awesome deal i think.

worklikeadog 05-19-2010 12:17 PM

Where did you manage to get this price from? I have a dealer here in locally that is giving me a great price as well (not too far off from that) and claim to match any deal...I would simply like to contact this dealer you've spoken with for a qoute to use as a price match.

Thanks,

PapoZalsa 06-01-2010 09:34 PM

Around $36K, that is a good deal.

tmjohansen 06-09-2010 03:53 PM

Does anyone know if there is a way to see which dealers still have a 40th Anniversary available? And if a dealer had to obtain a car, how much this would affect the pricing?

FuszNissan 06-10-2010 12:10 PM

I has 1 left.

stacy001 06-19-2010 10:31 PM

If you can get them down to around 36,000, its a good deal. Bought a 40th 3 days ago.

metz 06-20-2010 11:39 AM

I'm looking at purchasing one this week. I was qouted 36,675 but have since found 2 around the 35,500 area. I'm hoping my local dealer gets me close to that.

$35.5K? If that is OTD I don't think you are you to find a better deal than that.

metz 06-20-2010 04:19 PM

No, the prices are before TTL
