It's a conspiracy!

I publicly apologize to Fusz for stepping on his turf.

Once I receive the check, I'll set up your section and update your s/n status. Until that, Fusz (other sponsoring dealers) will have final word here.

koeppelnissan 10-30-2009 04:40 PM

I meant set up as in its a conspiracy. I apologized to Fusz and I'll be back next week. I do apologize to you as well AK

Holy crap. I didn't know this kind of hostility was allowed, Especially from a forum sponsor. I honestly can't believe the admins actually allow this kind of language from one person/sponsor to another. Also can't believe not one person spoke up about this. Unbelievable.

LinPark 02-01-2010 09:52 AM

Thanks for this! I work for JPM Chase and found the VPP details easily on my HR page this morning.

+1 rep for the OP.

Cheers!

Dealer invoice
Minus VPP discount (Nissan 2.87% : Infiniti 1.65%)
Plus dealer added options, Security Plus, Infiniti Extended Protection Plan, etc.
Plus 2.5% delivery fee of dealer invoice after VPP discount has been subtracted
Plus destination and handling charge
Minus applicable incentives
Equals participant's purchase price
I don't get it, the bolded items seem to be the only real features of this VPP pricing. So it comes out to be (1-.0287) * 1.025 = .9956 * Invoice price. So you get a 0.44% discount. Am I missing something here?

FuszNissan 02-04-2010 01:06 PM

Most people don't get to buy cars below dealer cost. Which is invoice.

But there are 4 levels of VPP.
A-D plan. Most of you are D plan which will come out to about 100 over invoice.

When you are a direct employee of Nissan, you are A plan, that is when you get a great discount.

I think the real benefit is not having to jump through hoops to get a price. You get to walk in with a VPP # and get invoice in seconds. How is that a bad deal?

You will get even greater discount if you work for the dealership.

what is difference between Nissan employee pricing and VPP pricing?

FuszNissan 02-11-2010 10:12 AM

Employee Pricing and VPP pricing is the same.
Nissan just calls it VPP. But there are different levels. A plan is a direct Nissan Employee. Most companies that qualify for VPP are usually D plan.

Unless you are talking someone works for a Nissan Dealership, then there is no employee pricing directly from Nissan. Nissan does not consider dealership personnel as Nissan Employees. Kind of sucks.

Hope that helps a little.

schrute 02-11-2010 10:15 AM

Bummer, both mine and my wife's companies are on this list. I got mine for about $600 under invoice. Could I have done better? Not that it matters now...

FuszNissan 02-11-2010 01:16 PM

No it would come out around 100-200 below invoice. You did better!

schrute 02-11-2010 11:51 PM

sdiep1337 02-26-2010 05:41 PM

I have Plan B. How much below invoice should I expect? Thanks.

FuszNissan 02-26-2010 06:50 PM

I think b is 4.3%, not positive though. That is off the top of my head.

Parrotguy 02-26-2010 07:47 PM

My life on the D list.

Wonder if there's any openings at Nissan USA? Like that could happen.

Fellow D listers - the sale has to be completed before 3/31 so ordering is a non-starter.

I got excellent results with the American Express Car Buying program. Lowest at $600 under. One dealer said ordering is a problem, a second said it was no problem. Both said they had no additional fees (transaction fee, dealer location fee, etc.)as a previous poster ran into.

cossie1600 03-09-2010 04:15 PM

Do you have to add 2.5% back into a plan B?

fuct 03-26-2010 01:04 PM

sorry if this has been answered before, but can you use VPP for purchasing a NISMO?

FuszNissan 03-26-2010 01:11 PM

Yes, if you find a participating dealer.

thx fusz! gl with the beast!

XwChriswX 03-30-2010 11:42 AM

I talked to the finance office of my dealer, and they "acted" (I dunno if they really do, or just try shy away from it) like they didn't know wtf I was talking about... Any discount is a good idea, but if they just don't go for it, am I pretty much screwed? What paperwork do I need?

FuszNissan 03-30-2010 11:59 AM

PM me and I will help.

FuszNissan 06-08-2010 01:00 PM

VPP Discounts have changed!!!!!!

Nissan has changed the VPP program to a flat dollar amount.

A/B Plan = $1500 Below Invoice
C/D Plan = $150 Below Invoice
E Plan:
Tenure 1 year of More = $1,500 Below Invoice
Tenure Less than 1 year = $150 Below Invoice

Cheech 10-19-2010 12:03 AM

Hey Lou,
Are these VPP programs like a plague to car dealers?

I've called several dealerships looking for a Z, once I inform them my company participates in the VPP, it's the last I hear from them. Am I missing something here? Should I be dealing directly with the dealership's manager? What's the best way to proceed?

Thanks for your help,
Cheech

FuszNissan 10-19-2010 09:28 AM

Cheech,
They are not a plague; some dealers are lazy. There are a few extra hoops you have to go through to get reimbursed from Nissan. So a lot sales people and sales managers don't like to deal with it.

Honestly, with the new VPP discounts, you can get a better deal on here then going VPP.

NIZMOZ 10-19-2010 10:29 AM

To bad most of these VPP discounts don't help when Nissan has big sales on vehicles. Like my Titan, 10k off from the dealer and Nissan combined. VPP couldn't touch that and could not be added.

Cheech 10-19-2010 03:47 PM

Thanks Lou, problem is, the vehicle and options I would like, appear to be very rare, not sure why?

Touring Coupe, Sport & Nav, 6MT, Platinum Graphite (Gun Metal), w/ black or charcoal interior.

I don't see what makes this car so hard to come by, very strange.

Anyways back on topic. It must be laziness. I finally nailed down one of the dealers to provide a quote on the vehicle. It took a several phone calls, and a little guilt trip :)

I would be interested to see what pricing I can get from here.

Cheers.

FuszNissan 10-19-2010 04:45 PM

Nissan didn't build a lot of Nav & Sport

There are two Zs with your desired configuration in Texas (Houston/Grapevine area, I think). I turned them down and decided to do without NAV.

Cheech 10-19-2010 11:32 PM

Lou,
That would explain a lot!

Fins,
Could you pm me with the dealer name please? I've searched just about all the nissan dealerships in the Houston area without success.

Thx

No problem guys. I haven't bought my car yet so I don't have first hand knowledge. I got the claim form and hope to visit a participating dealer shortly to see how it goes.

osbornsm 08-03-2011 03:26 PM

Hey anybody with VPP... they're offering "Employee Pricing" to every VPP group. So my normal $150 off invoice is now $1500 off.

SOLD :happydance:

koeppelnissan 08-11-2011 10:46 AM

Just to let everyone know, I will certainly honor VPP pricing if you are in the NE, but there aren't many Zs available! I have 2 silver and 1 gunmetal base 6 speed with sport pckg and 1 6 speed touring roadster with navigation and sport Black Cherry, Bordeaux and wine!

csriram45 09-17-2011 02:13 PM

VPP Code?

Is anyone willing to share the VPP code? I am looking to buy and would be great if any one can share one.

Thx

mrcoolguyface 10-03-2011 02:35 PM

I used this program.

I purchased my Z using this program along with the ZAG American express benefits as well. Was able to purchase my Z Base with sport package, tire locks, carpeted trunk / premium floor mats etc for 31K base before trade in.

NissanGuy23 10-11-2011 12:59 AM

It looks like the A-Plan normally is available only to Nissan employees. But, for Sep/Aug there was a special deal where the A-Plan ($1500 off invoice) was available for family and friends of Nissan employees. According to my friend who works for Nissan, it has ended :(. I want to buy a 370z starting first thing 2012, but i assume at that point the C-Plan is the only one available. Which i still think is a good deal.

IMWEZL 12-08-2011 06:02 PM

Any Infinity dealerships participating in VPP? I'm looking at getting an FX35 in the near future.
